The AI portraits from kahma are lit - I shoulda tried it first before messing with this Photoshop thing.
I just started experimenting with generative fill and I was very impressed with it. I gave it a very difficult job of recreating a torso and face that were missing from a picture. Some of the faces it generated were really creepy and distorted but it did a great job with the torsos. Because it doesn't do a good job with faces, I decided to cut and paste a face and just have the tool create a torso. The results were very satisfying.
The clouds were failing because you left part of the old sky so it tried to match them. Make it select the subject (there is a button) and change all the sky.
Yep. Came here to say that.
Using terms like "photorealistic" in the prompt would also help I bet
Very interesting. And nice production on the video. Many, many years ago I went to an exhibition of photographs by David Bailey. There was a framed, handwritten note on display that said "I never reframe my photographs, I always print the edge of the images on the negatives, even if it's not perfect. Because that is the image I took and it becomes perfect."
I left the exhibition, went straight to my dark room and filed out the negative holder so that the enlarger printed the whole frame including the rough edge. My photography got better overnight.
It's impressive, but I don't like it. Combine it with the AI producing "photos" out of commands. Then you can put your camera on a shelf.
A suggestion: extend it in step, by generating chunks of 1024x1024 pixels (or keep the longest side of the chunk at 1024 px). This will give you a full resolution image at the size you want without pixelation. I started from a 1024x1024 Midjourney image of New York and, generation after generation, I've got a 5120x2900 image with true resolution e no pixelation and no need to add noise.
Your face at 7:44 When the AI filled in !!! 😀😀😀 SHOCK
Model release forms might now start to be significantly reworded. Maybe some have already IDK. In professional circles that may be where the legal checks and balances start to kick in with these CGI filters.
Yeah true didn’t think of that.
Nice work on this one! Photoshop’s AI is okay, but Stylar's is something else. Hope to see it on your channel!
Fujifilm vibes for days, I need to check out those presets ASAP. Looks so dreamy!
I love this, we have to embrace it. People need to understand that this kind of photo manipulation was already possible before, the difference is that it used to require HOURS of work done by an extremely knowledgeable pro photoshop user (and even then it wasn't as good). But now it can be done in seconds. Photoshop has always been synonymous with photo manipulation, so I don't understand why some people are criticizing this tool. If you've been criticizing photoshop since the 90s when it came out, then ok you get a pass 😅.....Otherwise, you're just mad people with half your photoshop skills can do what used to take you hours
The people complaining about this sort of thing are probably the same people who didn't think digital art was " real " art when it was first introduced. AI will never replace the creativity and complexity of an artist thats human. The only difference is it will save our work loads by hours. I am stoked for this feature.
The reason why this update is actually bad, is because Adobe used creator's works to train AI without any consent or compensation. Basically the training data is stolen and used to profit Adobe only, it won't benefit the creators themselves who put the hard work in
@@DestroyerV From my understanding and from what I've read, Adobe trained this AI from their own library of stock images, licensed images, and public domain images. Now obviously I'd be naive to completely take their word for it without evidence.....but thats all the information we have. So according to Adobe, they did not train this AI using your images. You can choose to not believe them (and that would be perfectly fine). At this point, the cat's out the bag, and we don't know how it was put in there...
@@smryt9728 Yes, they said they trained it on stock, but the stock is contributed by the creators and there was no agreement about using stock as a training data. I've seen several creators complaining about this issue, they didn't upload their work to Adobe Stock to be used as a training data for AI and unfortunately there was no warning or opt-in
@DestroyerV eh it was probably in the fine print or something. I would be surprised if they didn't coverthemselves legally
Clouds were replaced with trees because you clicked Generative Fill on previous selection. You have to make a new selection every time for a new prompt.
Yeah I realized that after
If you’re sharing these images to a stock website then using AI needs to be declared
You can also generate smaller portions like left and right separately. It has less coherence, but gives you a higher resolution, as the total number of pixels in each generation is the limit so width my height.
Good to know
ыыыы)
AI devalues artists skills and efforts and can have a negative impact on culture in general. No authentic one-of-a-kind art pieces anymore
This is actually pretty dope. I wish I had photoshop skills like that!
this is nuts!! amazing work by Adobe
Great video! What are the legal rights when changing someone else’s photos that you have bought? I’m running into this question all the time now when using this new tool and you are able to instantly change an original photo with little effort and amazing results. For example from portrait to landscape mode.
My mom would love this, shes always touching up old photos. Nice work Adobe!
Mind blowing!!! 😮
It’s pretty wild
This new AI feature is crazy! I just finished messing around with it myself. Adobe had to do this though to keep up with all the other photo editing software programs that's using AI features.
And it’s only gonna get better. This is so early on and beta
The generative fill is only 1024 pixels, then it gets stretched.....look at the lack of detail. Another youtuber found a fix for it, but requires more work to keep the detail in the photos.
Crazy impressive
This is absolutely crazy!
It removed your clouds because you still had the entire sky selected. You would have needed to deselect the sky and then select where you wanted the tree to be, then generate.
No way, it filled in the whole photo automatically? Thats nuts!
I am conflicted by this. It’s cool, it’s amazing, but is it not taking the art out of photography? It is evolution, I guess the same discussions were had when digital photography came into play.
if you read Adobes docs - the generation is 1024 pixels only - it stretches beyond that. You can make a 1024 constraint and keep going - I imagine they will leave this as-is and you will pay tokens for proper res generations.
i wonder if it would be possible to create automations that circumvent these constraints 🤔
it did a really good job for the last photo, impressive
Hey Lee, I'm working on my thesis with only 10 days left. Can you help me change a face in a photo? Your Photoshop AI skills would be a lifesaver. I admire your work and would be incredibly grateful for your assistance. Thank you, and I hope to hear from you soon!
After seeing this, I had to check out kahma - so glad I did, their AI portraits are 🔥
Great 👍.thx. what lens and camera you used for the last photo ?
Fuji 18mm. Here is the video it’s from. czcams.com/video/OMedeJjPnPY/video.html
How far can you extend it?
I just used it and man it is truly impressive
Right?!
how can i get it for free plz
I really want to see people add fantasy type stuff. Everyone keeps adding clouds. Will it generate a UFO or a dragon? This is what I want to see.
I would use this for reframing for Insta, hm wonder why Luminar Neo doesn't have this allready,, are they falling behind now..
They have a very solid sky replacement. It’s way more high resolution. But it’s always the same pre rendered skies. Ai Generative fill will give you new skies every time you try and they will be properly colour graded to match your image. Only a matter of time till it gets better and higher resolution
Artists are malding over this, this is a W for you guys, calm down
kahma FTW - their AI headshots are fire and you dont need to mess with any software 👌
The problem that you had with clouds, I had with "fog"... It kept generating "logs and sticks" LMAO
8:04 that sounds so Polish tho
If like this, amateur photographer, fake photographer and no skill photographer, just suddenly become super professional photographer level. Just wow for the photoshop but together feel so sad for this.
With your gaming chair and cap on backwards. Dude put some tictoc giant captions up 🥳🎉
Jez! That’s next level! Sht😮😮😮 freaks me out
AI is getting scary good these days. Were doomed! Haha just kidding... or am I?
love to see pixel 7a video 💟
any time i hit generate by it self it tells me its a violation
I think it's actually "smarter" than you when you ask for rain / storm clouds. The subject is not lit in a way that suggests overcast, and the ground area does not have rain. So you are seeing "fake" / "set dressing" clouds because it is solving for these incongruences by finding a solution that works with the lighting present elsewhere in the scene.
To fix this, you would probably want to manually edit the lighting elsewhere to suggest the lighting that the changes you are making would make on the rest of the image.
That’s crazy 🔥
#I like the results from kahma even more - way more natural looking and way faster!
As a photographer, this makes me sad and worried.
Good job 👍
I need your test and your opinion about canon r8
There will be a digital stamp of authenticity in no time.. I don't know.. it's amazing what it can do but it's also pointless. If it's not authentic nobody will believe it and if people don't believe something they don't buy it and if no one buys it... well it's kinda pointless isn't it?
Does anyone know how to save the ai creations as jpegs?
Thanks for the video, however, your screen capture is very blurry and hard to to follow.
Another great tool. If people say its the end of photography than they dont know digital artists who are doing this for years handmade...
A lot of people just lost their job
make e video on pixel 7a💙
I have a problem that my generative fill is not active even after I upload the Photoshop beta to the latest version. Do you happen to know how to fix this, I can't find anywhere on Behance or Abode an option to add my date of birth... Help!!! Love the video Thank you
Anyone having an issue with it? I keep getting a notification saying "An error occurred during image generation: error get_session_id session id not found: 1000" anyone have this issue?
Thanks for the video
It’s insane!!!!
And, Its only going to get better
I think it would be better to frame the image correctly at the time of shooting :D :D :D
12.15 I tried with my wife,,AI changed into a beautiful grass land with some cows
Crazy isn't it? I think the reason you didn't have the clouds was because you didn't specify it in the generative image text box
Guys, we'll all be out of a job in about 10 years, so think about your futures 😂
I have to admit that it is too often very bad AI work :( Very dissapointet.. Only good for expanding atm.. If you want different things object ppl etc. then it fail misserably :(
I'm sure it'll take AI to see through AI images.
ommggggggg sooo exciting
Ai is ridiculous 😒 people think this is a good thing, but in the long run.. AI will cause major issues in Society
How to use free photoshop beta ?
hope ps dont crash on me
that was fun
How you select "the other site" at 1:03 ?
Just hold shift after you make your first selection. It allows you to make more
do photoshop beta can color the black and white pictures?
photoshop already can do that it's under neural filters
Wtf. Wtf. This is crazy.
amazing
Its ok but IQ for prints isp crap.OK for web images
Yeah it wouldn’t be good enough for print. But it’ll get better. For now I would only use it for reframing stuff for instagram
Crazy
This is crazy
Oh wow
nice
There is absolutely no artistic skill in AI....sucks!!
Is there crack version for this beta🙂
dont know if that will work since you need to be connected to adobe servers
#Tried this and kahma# - kahmas AI headshots look way more realistic and flattering no cap lol
yore really legit
❤
Sure going to make for lazy photography
omgg
Cursed
Cannot follow you because I cannot see your cursor
I feel deceived. It’s a pure deception. All these “pseudo-creative” art features like Ai are actually made by programmers, not by artists. Artists wouldn’t do that thing to themselves, obviously, cause they clearly don’t need it. It’s not your dream - to waste years on studying, on improving your skills just for some technicians to put it down. I know that some photographers /artists/designers are happy about this feature, but I guess that due to them having used cheat tools before, and now, seeing how this can be done a lot easier and a lot faster makes them happy. Real artists are not happy. Technicians should take care of technical stuff, for art we will take care ourselves. Like now we need a better image tracer, to overcome limits of working with image resolution. The existing image tracer is morally old, it’s just too bad for 2020s, with all that technology progress. But what do they do instead? They just put down the skill that the artists put down their lives to achieve.
bingo
The real artists you speak of died since the start of auto-metering, auto-white balance, auto-focus, auto-tracking. I bet you use at least one of these things unless you use a light meter, manual focus, shoot only film, develop and enlarge them to print. People have been manipulating digital photos years before this photoshop feature.
@@Rocky_KO I actually use everything manual only on my mark iv, though its still digital, you have to start using digital if you want anyone to see your work these days. Noone needs printed photos anymore and noone wants them of bad quality and low resolution, and that’s what I’m talking about, that’s what the technicians should take care of. Most of cameras still take photos with size of an A3, since 2009. The world is stuck , no real skill and education is actually going to be valuable in a few years
@@dsfarag loving the process of art is what actually makes you an artist, that’s what I’d say
@@hamfromburger If that's the case than real artists died when they created photos to appease others instead of the artist's sole vision.
Most people are looking at your work on a phone screen so there's no need for majority of cameras to shoot bigger than A3.
I wouldn’t pay a single penny for any job where this BS is used instead of real creativity and skills.
Neither would I. But it’s cool to play around with and see what it can do
Fujifilm vibes for days, I need to check out those presets ASAP. Looks so dreamy!
