To this day I am actually still a Backstreet Boys fan because they had a Lotta good music
Backstreet Boys are the best! Never like N'Sync or 98 degrees
@@melanielucas4155 Same here. I feel like the BSB were brought together by fate, and stayed together for us, the fans. The other boy bands were using the genre as stepping stools to their solo careers, and it showed.
Me too!!
Same. Love their music
Same
I was obsessed with them and they still hold a place in my heart. Simpler times. They were between 27 and 19 at the time
Yes... Nick was the youngest at 19 and his voice had matured. Loved them. They were so 🔥
Wooooooow. So now they are tipping 50. Damn I’m getting old y’all 😔 😂😂😂
Howie was the oldest I believe
@@Anakinskywalkerfan1 Kevin is the oldest of them all then howie then Brian then AJ then nick
Nelly Furtado, "I'm Like A Bird"... that's the earworm you're looking for...
I knew right away...lol. Probably gonna get stuck in my head now. Thanks Billy.
Ah simpler times when the only thing causing division was the war of the boy bands.
Don't forget the internet explosion and the Great Recession... and Twin Towers just a few years later...
More like the war of the boy bands' FANBASE.
Line that always comes up... "It wasn't me!" -Shaggy
Nick Carter was the youngest at age 19. Kevin Richardson was the oldest at age 28.
I had a crush on him lol, also Kevin...:D
I had a big crush on Nick Carter as a teenager. Still love them.
They were all beautiful💙 Especially, Nick Carter... Even till this day he is a beautiful person
hes 16 in this vid
Oh my god... Lol I had no clue Kevin was that old. Im 28 now. I knew he was the oldest, but I was thinking more like 21 at the most
Bopping and singing away as usual to these nostalgic classics. My teenage life was filled with boybands from the 90s/2000's.
There were a lot of boy bands in the '80s too except they were mostly r&b so nobody really knew about them like the black community
Yes, AJ was always the one feeling it! Going the EXTRA mile with expression! 😁😁😁
Try Everybody (Backstreets Back) the dude you thought looked like dr strange is dr jekyll lol close!
I was mainly an NSync fan but i will give backstreets boys credit. Everyone got a chance to sing in in their songs. Whereas in Nsync, it was mainly Justin and JC singing the lead vocals.
*NSYNC are u kidding me!!!!!! Backstreet Boys Are W there way better than *NSYNC
Backstreet Boys have way better songs then *NSYNC
When this song released in 1999
Brian Littrell was 25,
A.J. McLean was 21,
Nick Carter was 19,
Howie Dorough was 26,
and Kevin Richardson was 28
Brian was 24 during that time... born Feb. 20, 1975
It was just AJ for me.
@@realSimoneCherie I’m AJ
Really oh my God..
@@MafiaNMusicChannel yup😂😂😂
I've been a BSB fan for over 20 + years and everything you commented on is so on point. I'm laughing so hard.
New Kids on the Block - Boys in the Band - all the references are hysterical
PLEASE!!!!!!!
YES!!
A song phrase that always pops into my head is from lion king 2 “DECEPTION DISGRACE .. evil as plain as the scar on his face” it’s now a running joke between me and my sister
Omg SAME!! My sister and I cannot keep a straight face AT ALL when one of us just spouts that line out LMAO 😂😂😂
This was one of my two favorite songs from the movie. The other being We Are One.
AJ is the X-Factor that kept BSB from being comparable to other bands. He had the style, swagger, dance moves and the voice. AJ was a showman through and through.
As a mom who took my teen and preteen daughters to many concerts.. including BSB.. I always appreciated the singing skills of the boys without foul language. I started watching Korean boy Bands and. Dramas about 10 years ago...( I think they originated the concept in many ways) and I still love SS501 (5 boys that are still great performers).
That boy you said going to church with the hat on is AJ...in my opinion the best voice of all of them!
They're LEGENDS.
No one else comes close to them!
This song is still a banger even after 30 years.
This song is from 1999 aka 24 YEARS AGO
AJ McLean, the one with the tattoos, has the best voice out of all of them. That man has so much soul in his voice. His sound is incredible. I wish he would put out a solo album of him singing soulful songs.
You should check out his song "BOY AND A MAN". He and his wife are both featured in the video for the song.
I mean, objectively when it comes to singing, Nick is their best singer by a long shot.... Vocally that guy right now definitely has the top class vocals and can do things, I am sure no one in Boybands can do. His Masked Singer stint is just hard to top vocally. Plus he is their best live singer.
@@Izaan2810 nick was a very immature and unskilled vocalist for most part of their prime years, he got better with the years, but Brian and AJ are undoubtedly the best singers here. Brian is probably the best, that's because he always got the best parts and high notes.
I agree love the way he sounds when he sings
Best memory of this song was a few years ago at a ADTR concert. This song played right before they came on and the entire crowd was singing it. You saw big burly metal dudes, emo kids, moms/dads who were there with their kids-EVERYBODY was singing this song word for word. Good times 🤘🏻
I love that....so wholesome
My favorite is AJ.. the one you said kept feeling the song lmao
My favorite member of the Backstreet Boys is Brian Littrell because he's as amazing singing voice. Brian sings like a angel. Brian got the better singing voice than the other members of bsb. Brian is the sweetest and the kindest guy.
Actually lol. He is definitely not better than Nick or AJ for sure.
I AGREE
Yeah I grew up in the 90s listening to bands like Backstreet Boys and *NSYNCI am 98° and people like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera
Same
The Backstreet Boys are (in order of solos): Brian, Nick, AJ, Kevin, and Howie. This was released in, what, 1999? Nick is the youngest and he was 19. Kevin is the oldest, and he was 27 (turning 28 that year.) Check out more BSB, they're awesome! Love the reaction!
❤
In 1999 this song was released
Brian Littrell was 24
A J McLean was 21
Howie Dorough was 26
Kevin Richardson was 28
Nick Carter was 19
love this thanks Billy 😊
BSB will never get old I love them and always will.
That is AJ with the feelings. He was going through alot for real.
"I'm like a bird, I want to fly away!" Is Nelly Furtado 'I'm like a bird'
Oh our baby owes a lot to these boys. Thanks for the good grooves.
I Want It That Way is a universal song. A worldwide hit single
This is not only the first Backstreet Boys Song I heard on the radio, but this was also the first Backstreet Boys Music Video I ever watched! And of course, this will always be my favorite Backstreet Boys Song of all time!😁
Backstreet was the best of the boy bands lots of good songs check out drowning wet version . Plus backstreet still makes music and tours while the rest aren’t together
Not that BSB wasn't my favorite... but their predecessors NKOTB is still performing for fans... usually on a cruise...
I was 33 at the time (1993). They continued singing for 2 years then broke up. They (not all) re-released their music & are still going strong!!
Was obsessed, STILL obsessed!!! My fave Boy Band group ever!!! 👌
I was a BSB (Backstreet Boys) fan back in the day, but not anymore. It was funny when you commented about Howie's hands in front of his face: "what happened? The sun came out?" 🤣😂
I always have the “Billy on the street” theme song stuck in my head
There were so many great boy bands back then but my favorite is Boyz II Men hands down they're harmonies are so dead on! My second favorite is definitely the backstreet boys
The song you're thinking of is, "I'm Like a Bird" by Nelly Furtado.
This is an absolutely accurate portrayal of BSB fan behavior. I was one of the hysterical crying masses lol I used to go to their concerts and weep like I lost a family member or something. It was all very overwhelming. And while I'm nobody's mother (thank god), I'm certainly old enough to be.
As for their ages, in this video they were 27, 26, 24, 21, and 19.
They were my first concert in 2000 and saw again in 2015, and they will forever have a place in my heart.
I love these guys! Just saw their DNA world tour in Cincinnati. It was fantastic! They were fantastic!! They work their tails off and their fans love them all the more! I will go to their shows when they and I are geezers with wheelchairs. That's funny to think about but I am totally serious. BSB 4Life!!!!!
Loved the backstreet boys!! My first CD I ever got
"JUST GOT PAID THIS FRIDAY, I'M GONNA HAVE ME A FUNKY GOOD TIME BABY"
you should react to Hanson MMMbop
hanson's are so crazy talented, I watch em and still can't believe how young they were writing and producing their songs
BSB was gorgeous then and are still gorgeous ☺️😘🤩😍 now. But my favorite will always be Nick Cater 🤩😍♥️. I love 💕 the BSB.
This takes me back to the Y2K madness 🤣. Everybody freaking out and here I am with my discman listening to BSB. 🤦♀️
Me and my walkman till this day, 🤣 man I love being born in 2000 a perfect time to be born for many reasons
@@robynthebank919 ... well... I was 15 in 2000 but yeah lol.
Hey Billy... I have many random songs that a sentence or phrase is in that run thru my mind at any given time. The song could be from literally anywhere and if it is likable enough to me it most likely will stick ; now as far as the Backstreet Boys go... "I don't care who you are, where you're from, what you do." gets stuck in my head often and that is from their song "As Long As You Love Me" . Thank you Bill for your reaction here I look forward to many more .
Nick Carter 😍😍, my most favorite voice of the band.... Just an incredible singer.
Good reaction Billy. The main difference from BSB and other copies is that these guys considered themselves a vocal harmony group. They all could sing.
At this time approximate ages were:
Nick 18, AJ 20, Brian 23, Howie 25, and Kevin 26.
i still love to change the lyrics to "i dont swing that way" when i hear this song
As soon as you said you didn’t know the bands I had to check out the comments 😂
Love the shirt. Showing Jamel some love with his merch
😂😂 when he said "you might not be the mother of THEIR children like you thought you would be"...I felt that lol
The Backstreet Boys are the GREATEST of all boy bands! SOOOOO many good songs!
"It was No. 5." 🤣🤣🤣
I’m 44 and a mama of a 23 & 25 yo. And yes, I was a BB Stan when I was their age!
My best friend and I saw them in Vegas. They showed out! It was so fun and would love to see them live again.
Aww Crocodile when he was young....
I'm 17 but oooo I love the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC, they're so good 🥰
same, except for im 16 🙂
Glad to see you support your buddy Jamaal
I love it when a group showcases each one of their voices. Have always loved these guys and I'm old enough to be their Momma, in today's world!
Living on a Prayer....the line in my head
💗💗💗💗BSB forever
This song resulted in one of the best cold opens for Brooklyn 99.
I love this song. I started listening to them in 1998. Brian and Kevin are from my hometown of Lexington, Kentucky. Brian was 23, Kevin was 27, AJ was 20, Howie was 25, and Nick was 18 when this song was recorded.
I got the Millennium album for my 7th birthday.
"what's in your head, zombie" the cranberries, that line
A line or song that constantly pops into my head is holding out for a hero the shriek version
My boy billy. Love this song man. Love millennial hour, a definite blast from the past
Don’t think I’ve laughed that much while watching a reaction.. 🤣
I always say “Hey now! Those are not what dreams are made of!” when I’m shocked.
this was your funniest one, im cracking up!!! + i'll never break your heart, your commentary on AJ's emotions is sooo funny
MAN these my boys still! Yes BABY!
I know there are diehard fans on either side but I liked *NSYNC, BSB and 98 degrees pretty much equally. In middle school I was definitely more an *NSYNC fan but anymore I love all 3.
Backstreet Boys slay!!!! My childhood music and yes i sung along to this!!!!
Billy you sound like me when getting songs stuck in your head! It drives me nuts sometimes cause I be layin in bed trying to fall asleep and those catchy things pop into my mind! Layin there and my mind is like "FU Mel, you ain't sleepin tonight" You mention that song "I'm like a bird".... when that song came out and line says "I want to fly away" I was like YES!!!! PLEASE FLY THE F AWAY!!!! LOL..... I enjoy your posts dude, keep it going!
The Merkins made a hilarious parody of this song and video you should check out. It's called "I'll Kill You That Way" by Slashstreet Boys, a boyband which members are Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, Michael Myers, and Leatherface...
Love the POWER HOUR as me to call this of my childhood .. Was born on APr 25th 1988 in Peru and adopted .. Army Vet .. been away from your channel for few months but glad returned random today for true .
Much Love for this band! ❤️
My first concert I ever went to. Love them still.
Best boy band in the world 🌎
My sisters were so obsessed with them when they were big. I remember my one sister sneaking out to go to one of their concerts and then getting caught when she was trying to sneak back in.
Knowing this song, then having watched Brooklyn 99’s famous interrogation line-up is one of the most hilarious things I’ve seen.
I am a Millennal, too, born 1985... It's strange to see another millinneals reacting to the song today, ahahah:-)
Whenever I hear this song, I just hear Ebay by Weird Al.😂
Love this video...the scene of all the screaming fans and not a cellphone to be seen :D
Legit have been obsessed with them since I was 13. Have tickets to their tour if covid ever let's it happen. It's already been postponed once. But I have seen every tour that's come to Phoenix since 1999. 💜🙌🏼 KTBSPA 🥰
We all know that if Carrie Underwood or Shania Twain was in front of you like that you would be goofy as hell big time!
63 and still love the Backstreet Boys
Great reaction man
I would like to see you react to Everybody and As long as you love me
