KTM 50sx and 50sx Mini First Rides

- The Mermel boys both upgraded bikes and tested them out at Motoland MX Park in Casa Grande. James (8yrs) moved to the taller KTM 50sx while Ryan (5yrs) went from the Yamaha PW50 to the KTM 50 Mini. The 50 Mini is a big change in the way the 2 stroke sounds, the power, and the brakes. A couple practice lines and he hit the track as normal. New videos should be cool to watch them progress.

I cant believe this kid went from gas and brake to throttle down jumping in one day, that is absolutely amazing.

They were younger at 5 and 8... they aren’t super big kids so maybe 3 1/2 and 4ft tall. The older kid is now 9.5 years old and about 4’5” riding a ktm 65

bob the builder how tall are you? If you’re around 5’ I’m thinking the 85sx. You’ll have a little room to grow into it but it won’t be too big
I'm 11 but I'm a taller kid so I'm riding a YZ 85 for races and an ssr 125 for messing around at home and yes it would be too small for you get a 65 or an 80
