To call this channel criminally underrated is an understatement. Your amazing production value, genuine heart and brilliant variety of genuinely fascinating instruments and people is what sets you apart and what makes you deserve so many more fans

Thanks for your kind comments Ben! I'm a giant nerd when it comes to music and travel, I'm just glad other people are getting a kick out of watching the conversations I'm lucky enough to be able to strike up!

As a guitarist, a fan of blues, and a lover of tobacco, I've always liked these things. It's impressive what some folks are doing with these in recent years. Makes me smile when I see guys my age getting into crafting things by hand. *Notes:* (1) I prefer glass slides to metal; I make 'em from a wine bottle neck and round-off the sharp edges on the pavement, just like they did 100yrs ago. (2) Flatwound jazz guitar strings sound _GREAT_ on these things. They make almost no scratch noise, and they've got a very punchy and dry sound. Anyway, cool video! 👍

take a piece of string soaked in any flammable liquid, wrap around the base of the neck a few times, tie off, light it, let it burn for a minute then dip into a bucket of icy cold water.. super clean break every time.

No problem with stuff you wrote except the tobacco. That shit should go away forever.

Another excellent video, thank you. It is a constant amazement to me why with your very high production values and interesting portrayal of such talented people that you do not have substancially more subscribers and views. Thank you for your time and excellent choices of performers, instruments and topics.

Wayne Jeffrey thank you for your kind comments! Well it's still a pretty young project, less than a year, so I'm hoping it will grow! And please feel free to share it with anyone you think would be interested :)

I just love the three string DAD tuning. So much fun. I'm surprised the guy didn't mention that the open tuning of 1 5 1 means you can play power chords with just one finger. Then add some melodic picking here or there. Unless I missed it somewhere. I have ADHD, so I tend to drift away. Trust me, it's not because this is boring, this channel puts out amazing stuff.

I would love to see you do a few more episodes on bluegrass instruments. Maybe a bluegrass mandolin player and a bluegrass stand-up bassist? It would also be cool to see an episode on the Diddly Bo. Big fan of your vids, man.

Thanks for watching Joshua! Yes I'd love to go through the south of the US, I've got the mandolin, banjo, autoharp and dulcimer on my hitlist. I'll get there one day! :) And yes, the Diddley Bo! So important to early blues, I might need to get a blues historian to help me out on that one. Thanks for the nice comments!
