Fly Over the Acty Mountain Wildfire Detection Camera

Acty Mountain is now home to our newest wildfire camera. Located in southern Harney County near the Nevada border, this camera will improve firefighters’ ability to detect and monitor wildfires in the region.
This camera exemplifies how the Oregon Hazards Lab brings together public and private sector partners to increase resilience to a changing climate. The camera is sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management and is powered by ALERTWest software to automatically detect new fire starts and alert dispatchers.
