Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 27AUG2024

This morning's California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan t0547 MDT (6 min. late due to long dwell time in station). P42s #15 & #167 (in Phase VII paint) brought the 10-car train to a stop with car 7 to the station platform for 4 new patrons. With them safely on board, Kelly set out to check an offending axle that had tripped a sensor east of Ft. Morgan. The lead conductor was also checking the axle. With no issues found and bearings cool to the touch, the high ball was given and the Zephyr departed for its next stop at Denver's Union Station.
The two private cars owned by "The Patrick Henry Creative Productions" were also checked with no issues noted. Both of those cars were occupied.
