The Wheelchair Skills Team is an initiative of the mission Wheelchair Skills at Level of K-J Projects. The foundation is committed in a broad sense to promote the participation of people with disabilities in society. The motivation to raise the wheelchair proficiency level in the Netherlands to a higher level came when Kees-Jan started in 2005 with giving his first lessons on youth and sports weekends in Zeeland and Brabant. In 2006, in collaboration with a number of local parties, he also organized his first training courses for adults on the Boulevard in Vlissingen.
