- 2016 we can visit the big engine collection from Guenter Werner in Lübben/Germany.
Günter Werner collect stationary engines for many years and shows sometimes the engines.

Terrific. My great grandfather was from Lubben and he emigrated to the states in 1870.

Der Lanz HL12Ps ist bestimmt kein Original, sondern ein sehr gut gemachter Nachbau. Ein Bekannter von mir hatte so ein Teil. Die Gussteile kamen aus Polen und mussten noch bearbeitet werden.

He's got a wonderful collection, and all in wonderful condition. That 1921 Lanz was long before Health & Safety was thought of! Direct chain driven, then, you reverse by reversing the direction of the engine?

+AndreiTupolev Thats right. To drive reverse you must change the direction of the engine. Its a two stroke half diesel. The engine da run forward and backward. Günter Werner shows this.
What is the large SKL, 4cyl, diesel originally from? My best guess is a marine engine! It have a lovely rythmic sound!
+mytmousemalibu Thats right. The SKL is a old Marine Engine from the GDR.

So basically, you have to get the engine spinning the opposite direction to go in reverse. Nice👌

Nach meinem Eindruck ist der Lanz ein Neubau. Korrigiert mich, wenn es nicht so ist.

Der HL Bulldog ist niemals Baujahr 1921.Der ist mit Sicherheit Baujahr 2016 aus Polen. Wenn ich die Kugelkopfkupplung sehe wird mir schlecht.
