Can the length be 8 inches instead of 7?when I drew the pattern and compare to my head that is 24 inches, I find it to be a Lil short. Meaning not going all the way to the back of my head, rather a Lil higher up.

7 inches is the standard for an adult head,8 might be too long

For baby of 0-2 years,you can use 3.05 by 5 for the brim ,for the curve,go up by 1 inch and curve.If this is not clear to you, let me know so I can explain more.

U can get an old face cap just remove the brim and use it
