i just recently got one of these as my first ever turntable , i am unsure what the small wire out the back is, is it a earthing cable or something. also i know this might sound crazy , is there a speaker or anything inside because i have my amp 100% off and speakers disconnected and i can hear the song being played somewhere somehow
+Tom Humphreys Hi Tom yes it is a earth cable it connects to the earth terminal on the amp/ receiver. what you are hearing is the needle in the record groove .
Hello Mitch if i remember it was both the tracking and anti skate were set at 1.5 grams this was with the Ortofon OM20 without the weight plate in the cartridge
