My Doberman may he rest his soul was introduced to a Burmese Blue cat & being a clumsy puppy they loved playing hide & seek. We used to my neighbours whose cat was theirs watched with delight the fun these two hooligans had. When Brinn my Doberman reached matuirity he respected cats & treated them well. He was always disappointed that his Burmese was not around as he died. It was never the same for my brown & tan boy. All the best Doberman lovers

I grew up with dogs and my neighbour had three Dobermans. They were like giant dog pillows. Once they accepted you you could do almot everything and they would still love you. No one dared to come to their place because they were afraid of the dogs but even the mail man knew that the greatest danger would be to kuddle with them. You won't get away from them once you started.

one of my friend had a huge doberman king named Tex... one thing that always struck me is how defensive (effective) he was when in the house and someone came at the door, that impressive dog made it clear that it was not a good idea to open the door, unless the master of the house said it was ok, that dog became incradibly docile and soooo affectionate. It was a really calm dog, I cannot beleive how much control that dog had not to jump over a fence or run after dogs, cats and people. We use to take walks from time to time with that majestic dog, other dogs in the neighborhood were barking and jumping everywhere in backyards or even in house windows each time we passed by and yet, Tex remained extremely calm, NEVER bark back and didn't even look back either... people were changing side on crosswalk when they saw Tex but really, they absolutely did not know about how fantastic that dog was. Each time I came by to visit, Tex sat next to me and pushed his big head against me so I could pet him... as soon I started to pet him, he drooled everywhere like he became hypnotized, if I stopped, he let me know to continue until he fell asleep ! being a "king", he did suffer from hip dysplasia, seeing a big dog like that sitting down and not be able to get back up was so sad to see... sad ending, I remember seeing my friend family take the last walk with Tex when they passed by my house, I knew it was the last time... even though it was not my dog, I got emotional, Tex was so affectionate, calm, majestic and confident to see, it broke my heart too...

a king doberman is not a true doberman, its overbred and oversized and thus suffers from health issues; its a departure from the breed standard. I owned/bred dobermans for almost 50 yrs.
I know that, that doesn't make Tex a bad dog in a sense of how he was, how impressive, majestic, confident, calm and so docile like a big baby yet still protective of the house and family members and other pets... Regardless of true breed or not, he was a fantastic friend with a way too short life...

I am sure that l saw another video with these 2 when they were younger. The cat was a kitten and the doberman was nursing it. The kitten was taking in milk while the doberman was gently licking it. It was once of the most sweetest thing l ever saw.

I have had 7 Dobermans in my life. I am 53 now. Every one of them were sweet to cats and easy to accept strangers. ALL of them loved children. Any type of dog can be this way when raised by humans that with compassion.
I agree with Jame on that, people buying Dobermans have to be fully aware of what they have been bred to do (vicious protection dogs, as stated), you cannot cheat genetics, but you can obviously influence your dog by correct training and care. Problem being this kind of videos and your initial comment that Dobermans and Bengals are 'cute', 'cuddly' animals may lead to a confusion (yes sarcasm or joke may be misunderstood sometimes and taken literally) and animals might be bought by some people as such. In this instance if the owners are abusive or not caring enough it can lead to an outburst of aggression in the animal (more likely than in other breeds of dogs) and potentially lead to a tragedy. In this sense I'm not talking about prejudice against that breed of dogs or cats but about awareness and responsibility that goes with purchasing it.
I know this delightful video is a decade old, but it made my day! These loving, gorgeous creatures adored each other. I often think the animal kingdom could teach the human race so much about love and tolerance. We still have a lot to learn...☮️💖
Its disappointing how pop culture has given dobermans such an aggressive image. They are some of the sweetest dogs I've had to deal with while volunteering at vets and grooming salons. They're good with adults, children, other dogs, small dogs, cats, small animals.
