  • This is a keynote address given by the AnKing in February 2024 at the NYMC AOA Induction ceremony. Do you ever feel like we're pressured to become a certain type of student? A certain type of applicant? A certain type of doctor? In this keynote address I share my story in hopes that I can help you to reject the conformity that medicine encourages and find your passion to change the world.

I am grateful for what Anki and Anking did for me. I'm finishing my first year of medical school in Brazil, and i used Anki Flashcards and Anking videos since the premed time (2020), getting ready to pass the admission exam of the university. I've always struggled in use Anki everyday, but in the time i get a good streak it feels less friction, even more. I have some ideas about education that i hope to put in practice in the future, and videos like this inspires me to engage in big projects, even in a overwhelming graduation like Medicine is. Thank your for your effort, deffinitely you helped and touched my life with your work.

theres nothing wrong with asking for donations or even money for additional stuff, tbh you would probs be in the right even if anki was a paid software but i must admit that if it cost money to use anki i would probs quit
