Gsc generally welcome their Tyranid overlords, only disconnecting from the hive mind as they are falling into the reclamation pools, realising their mistake too late. However, if the invading swarm isn't from their original host fleet, they may fight back, awaiting their true 'saviours'. Eg behemoth genestealer cults would welcome hive fleet behemoth, but fight against a leviathan fleet.
I think this is the weakest part of GSC lore. It feels like there was a deep need to shoehorn in a Lovecraftian twist ending instead of developing the thought further and I really hope that they jettison it at some point.
I think, if you have the influence of two separate Hive fleets present in your Solar System simultaneously, the Imperium has a different problem😅

Gotta say, cute girl giggling noises in the background is what every 40k battle report has been missing.
quick thing about deepstriking on a gsc marker, the rule on the marker reads now that it has to be a normal, advance or fall back move within 9in. to remove and even says that deepstrike does NOT count
but adding to that, some shoot and scoot abilities would... and you still have to abide by the rules for coming in from reserve so you wouldn't be able to come in on the point as it would be within 9 of a unit.
I played GSC Host of Ascension at a tourney. In pariah Went 2-3. If i played more, it could easily have been 3-2 or better. Host takes so long, being so dependent on cheeky deepstrike and pickup commands. Pretty strong but brutal with time constraints. I skip like 60% of my shots for time management.

Easy to forget as it's an odd change but swarms can't go through ruins anymore...so I think those ripper lads may have done a dodgy move...not that it changed much!

Why is it that ive seen every GSC's player lose in these battle reports. Is it cause they suck? Gsc is the 5th best army that has won tourneys but every single time I see a cults player, they lose. I have yet to be proven wrong in this. I have won tourneys with GSC's so I dont understand why these guys promote them and they lose with em every time.
GSC lost yet again. How this codex could come out of Warhammer own studios like that is amazing..

I've seen a few CZcams wins with comp lists, HoA went some 4-1 last weekend. I'm 1-1 since codex come out. Lost mirror match...beat WE.
