As education in our country rises, more people are now understanding what makes Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago a great person. She isnt a crazy, fanatic or a power hungry person afterall that we were used to hearing when we were young.. But a strong willed person fighting for all the people's sake.
Meriam Santiago Defensor,is next to Marcus as a brilliant lawyer she's gifted to have a great intelligence.

She is one of those under rated Philippine senators who has qualities of becoming a good President though her manner of being tactless oftentimes is misinterpreted and used against her as someone who is mentally unstable because those accusers has nothing to throw against her on her pinpoint tirade on corruption against politicians.
It's so sad that only those intellectuals can define a great politician with vision for our country,this generation and the coming generation. The problem in our political system is if ever we have miriam as our president in the future and lets say she changed our country for a batter one but still hwe dont know if the next president will continue what she started or might be an oppsite one. after her term, its because in Presidency the President cannot run anymore after they finish their term unlike in United States. Our country was down because of the two cheater presidents which are Fidel Ramos and Gloria Arroyo.

People forget that the president or senators are not infallible. They are people too. I had a case before with my import business, where a Chinese competitor was illegally smuggling their goods - hence why they were able to sell the product at a much lower cost than I ever could. We tipped the NBI so that they could raid one of his shipments, hoping that it would stop his illegal practices. What happened was a tedious legal battle full of backdealing and under-the-table deals. Even if you are in the right, the corrupt government system works in a way where justice is auctioned off to the highest bidder.
My point? Even if the prosecution was in the right and corona was in the wrong, the senate body as a whole was corrupt (I am not saying all of them, but enough that despite the evidence and popular public opinion would not matter) and the only way the president can affect change in the country is to grease the wheels - so to speak. Its easy to criticize but harder to affect true change in such a corrupted system of government. Sometimes, you have to get your hands a little dirty if only to make sure that in the future, you and the future generation doesn't have to do it again!
correct!! the politician use politics as bread and butter for their own sake...they are not using their position for the benefit of the people and the country but for them to make money....sad to hear that the only thing we can do is to criticize and make a bad comment out of their doings...MONEY RULES in the Philippines...
