I am a relative NewBe to Crochet. I am always looking for easy patterns without too many repeats.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, how you take it slow and explain things so well.
I have just finished a shawl project using that very Yarn. It has turned out rather nice, although I still have lots to learn. I have another cake in a slightly different Colourway which I am going to use to make this. The one thing I know I will struggle with is the long chain. WILL have go though😀

Jennifer, this is so pretty. I love the colorway. It makes me want to try some of it. The ombre affect of it is just so pleasant. Aren't they expensive? I'll have to check. Yes, it's so nice to have the start of the yarn tagged. I love that.
I've never been to Paris but I can imagine how appropriate the name is. Another fun make. I think this stitch, yarn, make would be so wonderful made wider and brought around to form a cocoon. 🌸🧶🌺

I'll be crocheting this shawl with a 4 wt yarn so I'm going to have to double up the amount of chains in the beginning. I tried to make it with the 108 chains and wow was it tiny, so I think 216 + 2 chains should work better.

I was taught to go through two loops on base row that way you have no holy first row. The nuns taught us girls the Patons way of holding hook like a pen and left hand tension so first finger and thumb hold your work. No sore hands and tension is perfect.
