I've had my gold type s for 2700 miles and love it. I was torn between a few different vehicles and my husband suggested this one. I'm glad I got it.. even though I paid a premium to get the configuration I wanted
I get big Loki vibes from the color. Absolutely love it. Great video. what a surprisingly cool car. I did not expect to like it as much as I do.
The car is a legit beauty in person. I seen this exact car drive by me yesterday creeping up from my rearview mirror and man... I was amazed!
I gotta say, i dont like most new cars that have been coming out but this car in this color especially has to be the sickest thing out there right now. It looks so good
I’ll correct something you said since I have 5k miles in my Type S which is far more time to evaluate. Gas mileage has actually been better at 80 than 60. I average 28mpg at 60-70. I have been hitting 30mpg at 70-85. Best fuel for best performance actually has been mid grade vs high grade. Just as a note I drive in Sport+ over comfort and it does far better. Absolutely was worth every penny!
"Just as a note I drive in Sport+ over comfort and it does far better" . . . are you still referring to gas mileage?
Thank you for this excellent and informative review! Do you think you will be able to use those pilot sport 4S tires during winter time in Boston?
My s550 mustang only has a small gloss black trim in the middle of the trunk between the tail lights and thats a nightmare to keep clean/free of scratches. I cant imagine having entire bumper gloss black panels how bad that will be to clean
Dealer told me mine will arrive next year 😢. Hope it’s worth the wait.
@@MoneyShift I told them I’ll probably take whatever comes my way. Preferably Black since we currently have a TLX Type S in black lol..
You can get these under 50k now brand new, no add ons. Great review man thanks for doing this
100% Davelospinoso! Goal of the channel is to go in depth on every car I can!
Congrats on the buy. Under 50 for these is insane
Can you please provide dealer or are you just lying? I searched nationwide and didn't find any for under 50k.
Thanks for the great review! How’s the seat comfort for longer drives with the side bolsters?
Appreciate the kind words!
Seat comfort is a great question. This car leans more towards comfort vs robust bolstering. What that means is, you get lumbar, and some play in the side bolsters, so it doesnt cradle you like the Type R does. Makes long distance drives a breeze, but means on track you are white knuckling the steering a little bit.
Does the car remember your last mode when you start it up? Or does it default to comfort or something every time?
Okay, I need help. I have a deposit down for an integra type s but I'm currently in a waiting line. I've recently just found the BMW M240I and am in love with it. Here's my question... considering the m240i is just a few grand more than the type s... what's better? Which one would you choose if transmission didn't matter?
Funny you mention this Scott, I have this very comparison coming soon to the channel. That said, here are some high level thoughts if you need to make a move asap.
The Integra - Lighter, nimbler, and manual transmission means the driving dynamics are more engaging. this car is more playful on a backroad, and the steering has some weight to it and feel.
The BMW - Faster, great engine note, more plush interior. This car, while capable on a backroad, THRIVES on the highway. The M240 can cruise at high speeds all day long, and loves to do it.
Overall - If you want the manual, dont blink the Acura is awesome. If you highway cruise, and dont need the trunk space, the BMW has the advantage. to be frank you cant go wrong either way, but I found the Acura to be a more engaging drive. That said, I do want to try a 230 to see if the weight changes my thought process.
@MoneyShift thanks man! Yeah I kinda figured. I feel the same. Making for a very hard decision. I'm coming from a fully loaded ecoboost mustang, manual and performance pack. Full bolt on at this point. But I'm 51yo now and looking for a lil more comfort. Wish I could find a m240i to test drive. Anyway thanks for everything
@@scottthefloorguyI an in same boat. 50 yrs old, coming from stage 3 Camaro 4cyl. Feel Acura is more mature plus need more backseat legroom for growing elementary sons. Was going to get Golf R til I saw this Acura at dealership. Videos don’t due it justice
You should do a night drive video with Interior & Exterior Lighting Overview
Its still surprising how the 2nd gen Mustang Ecoboost came out in 2018 and still has the most power and torque of any of these 4 cyl cars theyre coming out with now. Also the digital dash in the mustang is so much better
More power isn't really needed in this car.
While you might think more power is the answer, the balance this car has with the numbers it has is just perfect.
@@MoneyShift no I agree it doesn't necessarily "NEED" it, just food for thought it's insane ford came out with an ecoboost engine so long ago and it still is top of the power just in terms of topic of conversation. But this is def plenty of power
I ordered the Apex Blue, but I'm wondering if I should have ordered the Tiger Eye instead. The reason why is that I recently noticed a few Blue cars in the parking lot. The Gold color would be more unique. But I'm sure I'll be happy with the Blue. Maybe I should have seen the Tiger Eye in person first before making my decision.
Honestly Mike it is great either way. Unsure if you saw my comparo of the two exterior colors, but they both look excellent.
Reason I skewed Tiger Eye was mainly because of the first 200 the Apex ones could only come with the Orchid interior which was a turnoff for me. In addition, the Tiger Eye is a Type S color, and that was something that was appealing to me.
That said, cant go wrong either way!
The dash is a miss. Is anyone finding these at MSRP?
Yes. You should be able to find one at MSRP if you are willing to drive to a different city or state to pick it up. I drove 350 miles to buy mine at MSRP.
This car looks so much better than the Type R Civic its not even funny im actually interested in seeing why anyone would even buy the Civic over this at this point
Im stuck on whether to sell my r34 gtt for this!
@@WoWdude915 H O L Y cow WoWdude915! What a color, what a build, that would be tough to give up....regardless of how good this car is.
The interior upholstery is Plastic Leather, not real leather. For 7k more it should be real leather.
Shit 51k for a integra
lucke you
kool as thankyou
As a past RSX S owner I was looking at this car, but for the same money I realized I could get the Tesla 3 performance model with AWD, far more HP, and no gas or maintenance. I went with the Tesla.
@@KUROSHURA or he got a soulless car--depending on which way you look at it.
Keep these updates coming! I plan on getting this car in the future. 😎🔥
You got it 🫡!
