  • The new CUPRA Leon is a vehicle developed to bring a new identity to the high-performance compact segment, building on the generations of vehicles that came before it.
    With two body styles available - 5-door and Sportstourer - the CUPRA Leon expands its appeal even further, allowing customers to choose the vehicle that best fits their lifestyle, without needing to compromise on performance, comfort or practicality.
    And with high levels of standard equipment including full LED with rear coast-to-coast lighting, bucket seats, sports suspension, keyless entry and ambient lighting to name just a few, it's a vehicle that offers great value in the highly competitive segment.
    This latest iteration of the high-performance icon will further strengthen the CUPRA brand, offering an outstanding driving experience thanks to its highly advanced range of powertrains, its dynamic chassis technologies, and its elegant mix of sportiness and sophistication in its exterior and interior design. Add to this impressive offering with a highly connected, digitalised user experience and the integration of some of the most advanced driver assistance systems available and the new CUPRA Leon becomes one of the most appealing offerings in the segment.
    The range of powertrains includes 245PS, 300PS and 310PS (exclusively available for the Sportstourer with 4Drive) 2.0 litre TSI petrol engines that provide enough breadth of performance to suit anyone's taste.

    Thanks for the review. Scheduled a test drive next week, but already sure will go for one even though it's full of hard plastics.
    It would be cool to see the red version as that's the only Cupra color option that doesn't fit in fifty shades of gray category. Unfortunately, LV dealers don't have it.

    • @Orelionsworkshop
      @Orelionsworkshop Před 3 lety

      How was the test Drive? What was the average l/km consumption? I am looking for this exact model (red colour as well) as my next daily.

    • @melluzi
      @melluzi Před 3 lety +2

      @@Orelionsworkshop It's hard to understand the real consumption. It was showing something like 11 l, but that's a test car only driven in the city and everybody tests the acceleration of course 😆
      Unfortunately, I also drove it in the city so can't comment on like sound insulation on a highway. Overall, it was very comfy and extremely quick.
      Perhaps I would downgrade 19" rims at least in wintertime, imho 35 profile doesn't make sense on snow. What I liked, no adaptation was required, even though my daily car is not VAG. Very intuitive and everything is in its place.

    I find it misleading the only plastics you review in this car to be those hard ones in the rear door cards.
    This car also gets better soft plastics in front.
    After all, even the Audi A3 has hard and cheap plastics in the rear door cards, but noone complains there for the cheapness.

    Worth to buy after Golf R 7.5? Looking for a sporty station wagon/suv and cannot decide between Focus ST, Golf R 8 Variant (expected in 2022, but a bit expensive comparing to 7.5 gen.), Stelvio and Cupra Leon. My Golf 7.5 R seems to be rather boring to drive unfortunately (but it's a good allrounder). The budget is something about 40k euro.

    • @SilverhillDrives
      @SilverhillDrives  Před 3 lety

      Difficult question.. i owned a mk7 R for 8 months recently and loved it. Currently drive a Passat 280 and the power is amost the same but in key areas like comfort and quietness its on a different level. If you want good driving dynamics the leon might be for you. Could not justify the extra 15k for the R to nuy it new.. Focus is getting old but the Stelvio QV.. thats the one i would buy if you could sterch your budget a little more :D If not, the Leon or the Formentor would be my suggestions

    The Sportstorer 245Hp in Spain starys at 39k. Dont know where do you see that 310hp in 35k really. So much discount i would say.
    If you add Brembo brakes are 2k more or less. A must have would say when you have 310hp under your feet. Good review anyway! Thx

    Nõus, nuppude liigutamine ekraanile vajab harjumist, aga minul võttis Formentoriga see aega kuskil 3 päeva. Mida aeg edasi läks, seda enam tundus kõik loogiline ja hindan tehtud otsust (Küll aga näen probleemi vanemate inimeste jaoks, kes sellega nii kiirelt ei harju ja kasutaks parema meelega füüsilisi nuppe). Android Auto kasutamine on samuti mugav kõikideks vajaminevateks toiminguteks. Samas siin videos tundub, et on valitud väiksem ekraan, endale sai 12 tolline valitud ja see muudab ka kuidagi mugavamaks selle. Ainus viga mille mina eraldi veel välja tooks on temperatuuri ja volüümisliderite valgustuse puudus. Tõsi, volüümi reguleeringi enamjaolt otse roolilt kuid temperatuuri jaoks peab pimedas neid slidereid otsima või reguleerima ekraanilt, kuid sellega harjub ka ära.
    Muideks, sinine nahksisu sai valitud osaliselt tänu sinu vihjetele/soovitustele. Väga soliidselt sportlik näeb IRL välja ja ei riivi üldse silma. Tänud!
    Props kvaliteetsete videote eest! Edu!

    • @SilverhillDrives
      @SilverhillDrives  Před 3 lety +1

      Hea lugeda kohe, et olen oma videotega ka reaalselt kedagi ostu otsusel abistanud :) Kuna Leon ja Formentor sisult pea identsed siis jah kahjuks kliimanupud ja volüüm on täiesti idiootselt lahendatud ilusti öeldes ning ka nutilustisusteem nagu Istmesoojenduse/accelarista inimesed seda nimetavad on kahjuks siiski liiga keeruline. Muus moistes eriti kui plaatikust eemale suudab vaadata on autot oi oi kui palju selle raha eest! Edu ja muretuid kilomeetreid :)

    Üsna kahju, et baasvarustuses on riidest sisu, eelmise generatsiooni leon fr oli juba baasvarususest selline. Lisavarustuses nahksisu ja elektrilised istmed on toredad, kuid üldine interjööri kvaliteet tundub kehvem kuidagi olgugi, et rohkem varustust on saadaval.
    Muidu väga kasulik ja tore ülevaade. Kui kunagi mõtled midagi lahedat videote tegemisel, pane mingi lav mikrofon tagastange külge või sisselaskesse ja saad rohkem heli tegevate autode puhul päris ägedaid asju teha.
