I’m guessing no network wants to give them air time for this fight, because they project it won’t get worthy ratings.
Or no network wants to pay them the money they need to pay the fighters purses for this fight. So they rob the boxing fans through PPV, just to watch this tune up, come back fight.

Well, it's definitely an interesting point because the stakes are higher for each fighter. Thurman does have name recognition because of his previous successes and his touch with greatness when he fought Pacquiao. Barrios showed us he's game when he put up a valiant effort against Tank. I think this is a solid match up but if they still wanted to make it PPV, it should be lower than the current price tag.

Some fighters aren't able to find the mental fortitude to fight at a championship level after they've been broken mentally/physically ? I'm not saying that I am right ? Just an observatiion. Barrios didn't even exude true confidence in the lead up to the fight. The statement that I remember him saying was " Thurman is underestimating me ". It sounded as if he was depending on Thurman's underestimation in order for Barrios to have his best chance ?

Yup, And Pac’s knock down was probably the difference, which gave him the win. Thurman has to get all the ring rust out too if he wants to compete against Crawford, Spence, and Ugas. Does anyone else besides me see this as a strange fight? It's just a weird matchup. Thurman is fighting a fighter who is stepping up after being KO'd by a little guy whose real weight is 130 or 135. It'll be like if GRJ was to fight BUD.

Yeah it seems as though Barrios really strips down in weight, so that he can have a size advantage over his opponent ? This will be the second fight in a row where he has a substantial size advantage over his opponent. All though he has the size advantage, that seems to be his only advantage. He's not quicker, faster, stronger nor is he more skilled than his opponents. This is not a good fight for him right after the battering that he took against Davis. If he's knocked out, it could be a long time if he ever gets this type of opportunity again ?
I'm not a fan of the price tag for this fight. But I like this fight a lot. That said, I think Thurman stops him. The only thing Barrios has is that Keith has been hella inactive.
He also has height, he can fight, and he 7 years younger. Barrios will be in his prime next year if not in this fight.
I hope Thurman knocks him out early just to prove that he is a hard hitter like Tank and so that he stays relevant.
This is an unusual and unexpected match up but it’s actually a though fight for them both. Neither of them is a tune. So they both jumped straight into the fire on this one. It’s a 60-40 fight in favor of Thurman for me but it will be fun and more exciting than people think.

I do not believe Barrios is up to Thurman 'yet', but I also believe Barrios was weakened by making-weight against Tank. Barrios taking-on Thurman is a Brave Venture, I would've put Barrios in an easier fight for intro @ 147. End of the day it took Manny to beat Thurman. There is a good reason why Keith Thurman is Avoided by 147 Elites.
