Wago lever locks are the best wirenut alternative. As an electrician I absolutely love them. Some of those LED lights don’t like pwm dimming switches, some require a separate dimming controller.

So much nicer to be able to dim the lights!

JD your dimmer video on dimmer switcher was awesome. I was able to connect the dimmer switch correctly on the first try. Thanks

I added a touch dimmer for our awning light and it works great! I will be adding some more.

Perfect timing...I wanted to add 2 dimmer switches to my rv...main room and bedroom. Thanks for the great videos.

I do mods like this to my RV trailer, and a tool I recommend getting is a Capri Tools 20010 Precision Wire Stripper ($20 on amazon) or something similar. It made stripping the ends of wires very fast and repeatable.

I use the Wago fittings on all my RV electrical projects. Work great.

Absolutely what we needed to know. Our Keystone Avalanche is so bright. We’ll be changing out some of ours. 👍👍👍👍❤️

Really helpful, thank you! Like many, we find the puck lights in our RV to be too bright, so this is a perfect - and easy - solution. Much obliged.

I’ve added a dimmer in the bed room and in the mid bunk and love it.

I just ordered dimmers for my 398MBL to do the exact same thing, then I check your channel and here is another great video.

  • @campingwiththecothrens4085

Gonna have to add these to ours. Our lights are nice and bright, but when I’m trying to relax it’d be nice to dim the lights

Having 3 air conditioners on a unit is no problem so as long as you have a 50 amp unit you can do it. I had a 20 amp breaker for a dyer unit plug that I didn't use so I simply wired the 3rd AC to that breaker. All 3 ACs have worked ever since spring 2019. Been in NM, AZ, and SC full time btw in the summer. I've never had an issue

Great video, very informative. Will be adding a few dimmers for sure. We also have to lights above our bed that you touch to turn on. Would love to figure out an option for those, as those are very bright as well.

Love it! My only complaint was you splicing with the line hot lol but like you said, 12V and it’s on its own circuit not like you’re really gonna break anything.

Nice work, and very neat ... great job .... just one question.
On the three switch install, why didn't you just wire it up like the single switch, and keep the original switch in place and make it a "dummy or not working switch just for show. This way you don't have 2 switches on the same light and get frustrated why it's not working.
Just my two cents. Keep up the great work.

I have a Bluetooth/wireless controller for my lights... They cost as little as $10 per piece without the Bluetooth, I can control my lights using the phone or the remote control... Because I can pair multiple controllers on the same remote now I can choose and turn on/off all my lights at once, or just the ones I need...

Have you seen the light switch that has a built in dimmer slide switch on the side of the on off flipper switch and the housing is the same size of the switch that came in your rv?

My wife and I really like the floor plan of your unit. We almost looked at one, but the closest brookstone was 8 hours away from Boise, ID in western Oregon. It would have also been our first RV, but not knowing if we were going to like it we changed our requirements. So we ended up with a Forest River Cherokee Grey Wolf Limited 23DBHW. How do you submit for viewer rigs again, I tried looking for it.

Hey I’ve got a grand design with Compass Connect I’ve been wanting to put a dimmer switch on the ceiling I actually purchased one to fit in the switch in the control center. But I’m concerned what would do to the compass connect? Do you have any recommendations?

  • @housesOTR

Too bad in my RV the switch goes to the control panel which then flips a relay in a separate circuit which turns the lights on and off. A little more work.

At $67.00 a on/off plastic switch with a slide dimmer is ridiculously over priced. From e-trailer.
