- Our friend Sean called us to come rescue a huge 10 years old puffer fish. It was a last minute rescue so we just grabbed our stuff and went to Queens. We didn't plan on coming home with THIS many fish! Which ones were your favorite? Let us know in the comments below!

Next time you do something like this, check out Monster Aquarium Inc not too far from the shop you went to. They always have some monsters, you won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful, this fish needs to go to a Large Public Aquarium to be truly appreciated as it deserves!. It needs thousands gallons + to really survived and be happy. See if you can link up with an aquarium they will quarantine it and often put them on display. Back in 2000s I accidentally received a 2.5 foot Remora, the store I was at was not expecting the fish. We linked up with an aquarium and they put the fish in the shark exhibit. Beautiful Beast!

That’s a starry puffer and they get huge. Like 4-ish ft long. I had one that I had to rehome because it grew insanely fast and my 240 gallon aquarium was too small. They’re awesome fish though and I hope it does well and we can watch it grow.

Out there in Copiague when I lived there. I use to catch Northern Puffers in the Great South bay. Also, In the flats area while drifting for blue crabs, I would scoop up some large spike type blowfish (maybe striped burrfish). Actually one time I netted a Sea horse there. Was a surprise to find one in the dirty green waters of the bay lol .. This was in the 80s.. Can only imagine what's it is like now.

This puffer rescue kept coming up on my feed. I really wanted to watch it, I even tried several 3-4 times. Sorry to sound negative about this but the camera motion was too shakey and fast moving. Good job on the rescue thou.
