Auschwitz Song

Auschwitz Song is a poem written sometime during or after WWII by an unknown poet. It was written in English. The poem is one in a series of poems found in the papers of a Holocaust survivor following her death in 2009. It is not known how the poems came into the possession of the survivor. Holocaust Arts Foundation Inc. is dedicated to giving voice to the poets and their poems so that their voices will be forever heard.

My Great Great Grandparents died there. I’m also Native American and both my Native Uncles tell me I’m not allowed to be Jewish and Native at the same time, like I have to pick one or the other. First off, I don’t think it has to be like that. And second off, if it did, I would pick being Jewish over Native any day.
