I don't like anime anymore because of the repeated tropes and regurgitated stories and characters. But this scene between kyojiro and his mother is probably my favourite scene across all the different forms of entertainment in my lifetime to date. In fact I can even relate to it. My mother said something similar to me on her deathbed. I remember in my childhood we used to play a game of catch where I would be running after her. Turns out I have been running after her my entire life. I never left her side even when she became sick with cancer. I would spend days and nights without sleep attending to her every need. One of her last words to me were, "you are the best man I have ever met. I pray to God that everyone is blessed with a son like u. I love u the most." Personally I don't find myself worthy of those words but I chased her until her dying breath. It was truly an honour to be born to a woman like my mother. Now she is far away and in a way I still chase after her. I hope that I can do something in my life that will make her proud before I am finally reunited with her. For those of u that read this. Please take good care of your mother's. They are irreplaceable.

Look Akaza's face at 3:45, 3:50, 3:54 and tell me he wasn't panicking. People still have the innocence of saying Rengoku wasn't between the strongest Hashira. He had lost one of his eyes, broken ribs, damaged internal organs, but still managed to protect EVERY SINGLE HUMAN in the train, the demon slayer corps members that were around AND make the upper 3 panic for a few seconds, all of that without even having his mark. Then he proceeds to be the sweetest to Tanjiro and Inosuke because he knew he still had a duty of making them feel safe. I haven't read the full manga yet, but to me, Rengoku is still the MVP in every single aspect.

And everyone strong should be like him
