Ok, let’s give more than one sentence of comment. I really like what you do. You don’t play the exact thing and I am glad, you do the song close enough but with your drumkit and your interpretation. Not every cup and bell is there, but that’s not bad. What strikes me most is that you have more intensity, more power, and you seem tighter than Darkside himself, especially in the double bass part. You have that same enthousiamn my generation had years ago when we drummed along with the ‘new’ Emperor Inno A Satana and others... you are going far I am sure!

this is such a lovely comment it made me reconsider against my original thought "but hey it's less than what Darkside does!". Indeed, it is a dope cover regardless.
I agree with this, Darkside plays with way less force, I noticed that quite immediately. I think it's to do with his earlier experience with the xylophone that he played before drums, you can't really pound the shit out of that. It's hard to say which is better, since it's ultimately down to recording equipment, mixing and mastering. Then again does one need to be better than the other? We already know some people can play this song so it's nice that someone brings themselves to their cover and applies it convincingly. You don't get that with many covers.
BM fan for like 20 years and more. This is the most original drum playing in the genre I heard so far. Absolutely epic. And this is amazing cover of it. Keep up the great work!

very nice, very faithful cover. i'm a guitar player myself but i know enough about drums to know that darkside's style is difficult to emulate and you did a great job. like some other commenters pointed out some things you did even better, lots of power, passion and precision. imo covers are more interesting when they're about interpretation, experimentation, and improvisation. you did all of those extremely well here and you should be proud of what you've done. this is already a phenomenal song and you absolutely did it justice.
as a funny side bit i'd like to point out that you look like you start sweating a bit around the 5:40ish mark. can't say i blame you ;)
