@Stanley-k7u interesting take, but I disagree to certain extent. The "non fans" that are actually his "supporters" that offer constructive criticism should not expect to be acknowledged if all they want is for him to do better. They should be hopeful that he does take in into consideration and apply it to later projects.
I would find it very difficult to acknowledge someone as an actual supporter if they tweeted/posted that I need to be stopped. That's not supportive, that's purposely being a jerk just for the sake of social media clout.

This was a good movie. This was probably one of the best he's done. I am grateful for the cinema he produces consistently, the storylines he highlights, and the fact that he treats the talent well. I have my own criticism of the plot and development of characters, but it has improved. Keep going, TP! I have watched movies from Bollywood and Nollywood, whose directors develop similarly over time. It takes time, but I am happy with the growth in what is produced.

I enjoyed this film from Tyler Perry. It was so real and deep. It shows that if a man is not healed from past traumas it will carry over into adulthood and relationships. What I enjoyed about the character of Meagan Good was a woman like many BW who remains in a relationship to change a man or situation when they have no control over it, and is well aware of the background of the family because you're not just marrying the person, you're also marrying the family, and that goes for both genders. Corey and Megan Good played the hell out of their character, and I am glad Tyler allowed them to be in his movie. People could say what they want, but Tyler has shown he is grassroots and provided opportunities for many Black Americans.

The script is horrible along with the premise of this movie. It’s all over the place trying to find its own way but fails miserably. This movie also suffers from his cookie cutter blueprint.

I loved the movie! ❤️Looking for a strong black male, what about her Dad, her best friend’s husband, her childhood friend, the men in the church!!!!? All good Black men! Like every other race we have cruddy Black men/women too. Everyone has good and bad! But it’s a movie about ‘Divorce’ as a BW who managed in the court system watching this everyday, there is Rarely a hero in the scenario. The Heroes are the Black Men/Women who are NOT divorced and make good choices when selecting a spouse!!! BTW - White Divorce is just as Ugly but that would call for an all white ‘cast’ . We need to heal our own and we do that by facing the truth and doing better. If we HEAL our men, we heal the family, if we heal the family, we heal the race! See the Bigger picture! She said in the movie, she was tired of living in the RED, she was ready to be in the Black. Thus the name of the movie Divorce in the Black. Being in the Red is a financial term which means in the ‘negative’. SHE WORKED IN A BANK.

    He has two speeds:
    Comedy
    Black women struggle
Don’t expect steak from a pastry chef . Let him cook. Choose where u eat wisely.
If few black men watch his content because it’s not appealing, leave it. He has a target audience. Continue to stand strong in your masculine frame.

Give me a good plot twist funny type feel good type of thing for a change. Hire some writers and do it black. It’s some good stories out there that can be so Inspiring and unforgettable. Does he have any classics? 🤔

I can relate to this movie, I think that’s why I liked it. I’ve been divorced from my ex husband who was and still is an abusive controlling narcissist for the past 10 years. Black men like Dallas really exist and they’re hurt from childhood. My ex husband witnessed his dad beating his mother to the point he punctured her arteries. His parents were both on drugs really bad when he was growing up. He’s a hurt person and it’s caused him to be the way he is.

I can relate to this movie too! I almost lost my life several times due to Domestic Violence. Domestic Violence is HELLACIOUS and in my opinion it is getting worse in this dark and dying satanic influenced world! Some people are killing their whole household. I appreciate and applaud anyone who can continuously shed light on the HARD issues that many people deal with mostly behind closed doors. Peace and Blessings everyone in Jesus Christ name
