I love your colour palette and it feels so wintery and cozy while still you!
Stephanie from Edible. Thoughts. Makes has a little trick when knitting a swatch. On one of the edges, she uses yarn overs to make holes, the number of which corresponds to the needle size used in the swatch. No more forgetting which needle size you used to get the gauge you want!!
I love these inspo videos you do… love seeing what inspires you and adore seeing which color combos you choose. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you! These are some of my favorite to make!
I was happy to hear that you are thinking about knitting the winters pullover by Ozetta. I am making it for my daughter who is about your age. I am a tight knitter and my gauge is about 1/2 to one stitch smaller than the recommended. Her measurements fall between Size 3 and size 4 so I’ve decided to go up to the size 4 because of my tighter gauge. I am knitting the first section of the sweater which I believe is the top back and it seems so large. I’m trying not to get discouraged because it drops down the shoulders and it is obviously quite oversized anyway. I’ll be interested in seeing your progress if you decide to go forward with it. There are not many projects on ravelry for this sweater.
love these kind of videos! can't wait to see what's inspiring you
I love watching your videos. So inspiring. Love all your colour inspiration. Those greens!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for introducing me to Ozetta! I love these patterns and have so many project ideas to use my stash.
She’s got an awesome collection!
I am excited to see the video with free winter patterns! Thank you so much for your videos!
Coming up next!!!
I’m planning on knitting a bunch of brights! It’s very cold and dark where I’m at in Michigan, and I just bought this stone-y blue winter coat, so I’m thinking some bright blue or green accessories would be perfect! Currently knitting a Christmas gift- a Sophie Shawl for my aunt! Happy knitting! I can’t wait to see how the little scarf turns out!
Question: Do you knit gifts? How about favorite gift-giving patterns and/or baby knits?
Hi there! I do knit for others, but I wouldn’t say I follow a particular gift knitting season. I will be doing a free pattern roundup of winter knits that are gifting suitable later this week!
Very informative podcast 😊
Hey. Thanks for sharing. I am not sure if I will do a lot of winter knitting. I leave the cold mid December and go to Vietnam. So i might knit more shirts and tops. Until then I have enough wips to work on. Working up some Alpaka wool i got in peru sone years ago. It seems i am into texture right now. Have a good day
I’m already thinking of sleeveless tops again!!
TU for a very interesting podcast❤❤❤
love your videos! what etsy shop is your pearl necklace from? thanks😊
The shop is called SanchesStore! I’ll add a link in the description 😄
What pattern is the sweater that you are wearing. So beautiful ❤
Thank you! It’s the Auer pullover by Sari Nordlund
Hi Emily - I love your color pallette, as usual! Do you have more info on that green sweater with the rolled edges in your vision board? It's the main sweater at 6:50
Unfortunately, I don’t have exact details on that sweater as it’s been reposted a lot on Pinterest, but I will keep digging!
I fell in love with this sweater, too, tried searching it on pinterest, but didn't find anything. emily, would you be so kind to share the link to that sweaterpic?
Hi Emily! I have a question for you, what do you consider a sweater quantity of yarn? As a newer knitter I hear that term a lot but I don’t really know how much that is. Thank you for your videos, they are always very inspiring ❤
Great question! A sweater quantity will depend on two things primarily: the weight of the yarn and the preferred size a knitter likes to make patterns. Generally speaking, there is an approximate yardage that will allow a knitter to make a sweater in a particular weight of yarn. While its also best to use a similar weight and quantity specified in a pattern, after knitting several sweaters many knitters can make a generous estimate of how much yarn may be needed for future sweaters and will take this into consideration if purchasing yarn without a particular project in mind. In my case, I based the quantities purchase off of specific pattern needs, but didn’t end up using the yarns for their originally intended patterns. I will usually knit for a 39” bust and a sweater quantity of DK weight or worsted for me is typically around 1200m for something oversized.
@@highfiberknits that makes sense! Thank you for the kind explanation. Love from Florida ❤️
Peasoup core in winter😂😅
😂😂😂😂 I love! I’m very allergic to peas, but totally behind the vibe!
@@highfiberknits me too, i love green. I just knitted a novice cardigan for my sister in law for christmas in holst sweet pea. It makes winter a little less dark😊
psst tenderfoot is superwash
Your teacher voice is a little less present in this episode. Thank goodness. Cute green yarn. 24:38
Thanks for this feedback!
