This video was very helpful to me to put up my own 15x13 sunjoy gazebo. Thank you so much!
I know that the grass is greener on the other side but this city dweller is still a bit jelly of that lovely, large yard backing onto woods. What a nice retreat!
I like too, that you didn't put down a cement pad, or footers. This allows sooo much flexibility. And when you said, park the riding lawnmower under it, I thought "absolutely yes"! In Viriginia especially, keeping equipment out of rain/sun is a great thing. And soo many people have a simple car port rather than a full garage on their houses. So this could be a car port too, if someone had the need. Definitely useful and multi-capable. 👍
How windy is it at your location? That is a need for in-ground attachments.
These kits are a blast to build! And again, you are making such wonderful things, you will be around forever. 💖
That looks great, what an inviting gazebo. Good job.
Thank you for sharing this detailed setup. Love it! 💖
Sunjoy marks nuts and screws well. My gazebo wood was not well labeled. Instructions were in a paper package and got wet.
Beautiful work, Linn! Fantastic looking gazebo! 😃
I don't have that much space here and my mother planted lots of fruit trees all around... 😂
But I think about making at least a bench for the garden!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Amazing looks lovely
Hallo Linn in USW und danke für deine Einladung deine Liebeslaube ist super geworden und tschüß aus Düsseldorf Germany 🥳🥳🇩🇪🇩🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🤵
Looks great!!!
How do they recommend ground attachment for windy areas? I'm installing solar panels on a ground mount and putting posts in the ground to ensure my panels don't end up in the neighbor's yard arcing like 'Back To The Future' clock tower. You could plan a second project of adding solar panels on your gazebo.
This video by far has been the most informative video on building our gazebo, and wanted to thank you for that we wouldn’t been able to put it up if you didn’t put this out. You really showed creative ways to a better result cause looking at the instructions can be difficult and using the braces if you don’t have people to help was the best idea so Thanks for the video again.
It looks great, but how would it hold up to heavy winds? We have had a lot of heavy winds this year in Mi.
Vad fint det blev och gazebon verkar vara riktigt stadig och god kvalitet. Kolla in att de har även av dem i Europa, närmare bestämt i Tyskland, ifall jag skulle shoppa lite 🙂
We got the smallest Sunjoy gazebo (9’x9’). The wooden base assembled fine. The metal roof frame will not assemble. The bolt holes don’t line up. Everything is off by 1/2” to 1”-more than you can finneagle with metal parts.
We went back and forth with the distributor and the (Chinese) vendor for months and just couldn’t make it work.
We were ready to give up and scrap it, and got into a “nothing to lose” mindset, and figured out a way to assemble it.
You have to NOT follow the directions and NOT screw the metal corner plates onto the tops of the posts. Assemble the roof frame to the corner plates on the ground. Lift the roof frame onto the top of the wooden base. The corner plates will not sit in their correct position on top of the posts-they are inset 1/2” in all directions and the tabs will not seat in their slots. But you can screw them down where they are and then complete the roof assembly.
The whole thing was kind of a nightmare.
How will it stand up to wind?
Did I miss the part where you secure to the ground?
I Had The Same Question!
Is there a way to drain the rainwater? Maybe with a gutter? Or does the water just run over the edge of the roof?
ive just ordered one and im now wondering the same thing, just looking towards the end of video when the last roof sheets went in it doesnt look like theres anywhere for the rain to go other than off the side and it apears theres a lip too, if you have any more info please let me know , tia
cool =)
Hi Lynne, how old is Darbin now, she was just a puppy when I first saw her, but she is looking a little long in the tooth nowadays I hope she lasts for a long time.
