Good ot see you back, I was ill in hospital when this was released, my box arrived just after I got back home. It's a cool box but a poor starter force. The French are in a bad way for tank forces, with the Leclerc (although cool and awesome) being too high a points value to make an effective force around. The AMX-30 isn't all that good, I'd rather run my Canadian Leopard 1's if I wanted a low armour tank. The AMX AUF is a great piece of kit though and combined with the OP, means your base range in roll is a 2+ and against Warpac/Soviets, the base to hit roll is 2+ - every French force should have them. I think the best way to run French is the AMX-10RC/VBL formation and then maybe have a Leclerc platoon as support. The Helo's are very nice too and the gunslingers should be taken if you take other helos.and/or strike a/c. I bought this as a box of units for my French and yes, I still intend to have a crack with AMX-30's occasionally, so this was a very useful box for me.
Sean took French to the LVO I'll see if he wants to share some of his experience on the channel. For me, for now anyway I'll probably add a mech platoon, some AA and some more Gazelles and call it a day. Not the best but that LeClerc is a good looking tank.
Good catch. I try not to film with them running but sometimes it can't be helped. I thought a directional Mic might not pick it up but I guess I was wrong. :)
Thanks for the video. Good to see you back! The models look interesting, but it seems the model count is low compared to other starter boxes. Right now I only have US and Soviet (or some Warsaw Pact) models for TY. I'm not sure which force I want to do after I finish them, but I think I'm leaning more toward German or British. Take care.
@@AllMiniaturesGreatandSmall Hey Jon thanks for the reply. I was just looking at this box that has only 10 vehicles and 2 helos, while the the T-80 Starter box has 15 vehicles, 2 helos, and 2 A/C. The T-72M box has 14 vehicles, 2 helos, and 2 A/C. The US Armored Cav box 16 Vehicles and 2 helos. Its not a bad deal, just not as good as the other boxes. I hope this isn't a new trend in Starter boxes.
