- In this video i have successfully repaired SONY WM DD33 walkman. Repair was quite simple due to only needed to change center gear.

Great work! Here's a tip if you decide to keep the existing idler tyre but want a little more peace of mind - just take it off and flip it over.
Thank you! I am doing that when there is noticeable dent or dents in it (they form when device is left for long periods of time without being used). But in the most of the cases i have new replacement to use.

The fact that the motor speed is quartz controlled, do you still need to calibrate at 3K hz ?

Hi, it is “rubber ring” capstan tire.
Just put batteries in mine for the first time. But the battery light doesnt say on. It makes same noises but doenst start turning. Where should I start?
Battery light doesn’t light up when you press play or ff or rw? What noises? Clicking?
I strongly suggest to join my fb group that you can find in video description and there you can better explain with videos or photos.

Great video. Is there any instruction on how to replace the small gear when it's cracked?
Thanks! I think there will be video about that in the future. Anyway, just remove rewind spindle and then shaft also, after that put new gear instead of old and do everything backwards. Just remember that there should be some small play back forward from that spindle. (About 0.5mm)
