Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower czcams.com/users/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
Thank You. Could not get a clear answer from dealer on whether to insert or screw in dipstick for correct oil level, now I know!
Have this mower for two years, it is great.
Just bought the AWD self-propelled Husky lawnmower and I love it!
I have my Husqvarna for 2 years no problems I keep it maintenanced
A simple way is to turn the fuel switch off while running so all fuel is out of the lines it will cut out on its own.
Ever since I have been do that I have Never encountered an issue
If you are going to store it for awhile drain the gas or add the substitute
Good luck all
Great idea especially using 10% ethanol gas. I usually try to use pure gasoline in my equipment.
Husq. and honda are the only makers of there own deckes. All others use the Chinese deckes that chip paint and rust in the second year of use.
These how to videos are fairly helpful, thx for posting them. I think it's necessary to say one of the most common maintenance tasks missing from your videos is replacing or inspecting the wheel drive belt system. That mechanism will often go bad before the air filter, spark plug, and EVEN engine oil turn to ****. The belt drive housing is difficult to access on these because you have to get under the mower. I think its rather obvious why its omitted, the corp legal team probably advises PR folks that belt drive maintenance is too much for the general public to replace on their own. Nope. Assume we are capable of making the decision on our own please. Insert the standard disclaimers that "you should not attempt this unless you are a qualified individual etc etc."
that's why I came here, I'm trying to figure out how to get that cover off. I take off the blade and I only see one bold holding the cover one but I can't get the cover off, I pull and pry and it seems like there is still a bolt or screw holding it somewhere near the back of the deck and I don't wanna pry too much and break something that I can't see. I wanna get in there to clean out any grass that's still in there and check on the belt but can't get that damn cover off....
Be careful with the Husqvarna push mower owner's manual if you have a Honda engine. If you read the Honda manual that comes with all the reference material, it talks about two different spark plugs. A 6-series when you use the Honda engine as a power wash unit (less heat). But when used as a lawn mower engine, it needs to be a 5-series spark plug (able to handle more heat). ALSO, the manual fails to point out you want a spark plug with the ceramic insulator with waves versus straight ceramic insulation. Otherwise, the spark plug cap rattles right off during mowing. That's why it requires that wavy shape so the cap inside ribbing can grip onto the insulator grooves.
Wouldn't it be easier just to say what is the correct plug?
That oil was so clean
this is not like my LC121P Husqvarna mower. I need to know how to clean the underside without messing something up. Is there a certain way I should either raise the mower to the back away from the spark plug or to the side?
What you could not remove the oil drain plug to change the oil ? I know you have to remove the belt guard to get the oil drain plug, it not that complex to do !
Very very well
What oil should i use for my Husqvarna mower?
Is any motor oil good?
SAE 30 is what you should use.
Great video
What would make the mower idle down when wheels are engaged
Best part of owning a Husqvarna mower is trying to find parts or even a parts diagram. The manual says parts illustration is on page 16-17, but there is no page 16 or 17. Can't buy parts or Recommended Maintenance kits.
Rest video-to the point
Having to empty the gas and tip the lawn mower over to drain the oil is one of the worst designs I have ever seen. How hard is it to put a drain plug on the underside of the engine like every other small engine?
Nathan Mitchell Probably because most people wouldn't unplug the spark plug wire and probably cut their fingers off when they rotate the blades to get to the drain plug. Liability I would guess.
And it’s Honda’s fault not husqvarnas
First, nicely equipped mechanic shops use oil pumps designed to quickly and cleanly pump out the oil. No need to tip the mower or undo a bottom drain plug. Just connect the pump and the oil is out in a jiffy. Honda, nor anyone else, no longer designs their engines for shade tree mechanics to work on them with crescent wrenches trying to loosen the bottom drain plug. Nor do they necessarily want anyone standing the mower on its head to fully drain all the oil out the fill tube. Essentially, this design encourages people to get and use an oil pump.
Second, over the years I am sure Honda and others heard many complaints about bottom drain plugs where you had to lift the heavy mower to get access to the plug, putting the blade into a position where it isn't in the way, struggling to loosen the drain plug, hoping it wasn't reinstalled cross threaded, having oil ooze out all over the place as soon as the plug was loosened even just a little bit, sometimes dropping the drain plug into the oil puddle, and then having to put the drain plug back in once the oil was out, and finally to be sure the plug doesn't leak oil. All that just to get the oil out! For my part, I don't miss the bottom drain plug. It was a nuisance. Tipping the mower on its side or using an oil pump is much, much easier. Nothing to disassemble and reassemble.
And finally, for those who might think in business terms, the elimination of a bottom drain plug eliminated a part that previously had to be purchased from an outside vendor or made in the factory out of raw materials. Home Depot sells a generic oil drain plug typical of what was on most older mowers for more than $5. Even if Honda was able to buy huge quantities in bulk for dirt cheap prices, say, 25 cents per plug (and gasket) for every four million engines Honda sells without that part they make an extra $1 million in profit.
While we can all speculate as to why the mowers today use this design, my money is on basic corporate greed driving each and every decision where a different design can eliminate a part and make an extra few million dollars in the process. If you owned Honda, and you could produce the same engine without a bottom drain plug and make more money, would you do it?
This was a cost saving idea that just all small engine manufactures have done - it wasn't a good idea to me either . But it wouldn't be worth it if possible to add an underneath drain plug . Sorry it's one of those things we'll have to live and deal with .😢
I agree completely Nathan
Mower starts then cuts off. Have cleaned out bowl and ports in nut. Where is nearest engine maintenance to zip 23231.
You may have to pull the carb and remove and clean the main jet and emulsion tube. Also try loosening your gas cap and then try starting the mower. Your cap vent could be bad. If it runs with a loose cap, replace it.
You can take it to Burchums in Midlothian. Don't expect to talk to a mechanic, I would take in January to get it back by May. Above all don't expect any customer service per my experiences with them.
Awesome video buddy. I want to comment that my Husqvarna push mower is making a weird metal noise down the blade, but I can't see anything, and the blade is not chaffing with the sides of the mower. what do you think is causing that noise? please, let me know. I will appreciate it. thank you
The washout port on mine came off how to I get it out back on?
What for to empty the fuel tank? Is it really necessary?
Anybody else have problems with water getting into the gas tank? Can't figure out how it's getting in.
What kind of oil for a husqvarna 38096
Looks like SAE 30 @ www.manualslib.com/products/Husqvarna-38096-9476879.html
how about the spark plug
Why disconnect the plug wire just to change the oil? I confused.
Cymbal Dork Because if you tap the blades when the motor is on its side it will cut your fingers off when it starts. moving the blades is the same as pulling the start cord. Disconnect the plug on any mower or trimmer before you do any work or cleaning.
Max Allen Makes sense. Thank you for the information.
cya they have too
Safety
Anytime you need to reach under the mower deck always disconnect the plug wire so that it will never have a chance to start.
Where can I find a spring diagram.
my lawn mow makes a popping sound after the engine stops. What is causing this to happen? There is no smoke or anything like that it just makes the pop sound.
M OB2 its Just hot and its backfiring. Nothing major.
Timing is off
Bend blade
Just tilt the mower to drain the oil, but you when doing that oil gets everywhere because of how low the oil port is. Deceiving video.
My Husq mower has the oil on the top. How TF do i drain out the oil?
North Dakota Hoss on the top? like briggs and stratton? try a siphon pump or you may have a drain plug or something
@@JanoyCresva pick it up and turn it upside down, it’s not that heavy...
Can't believe how you guy's went out of fucking business 😠😠😠why?
Run the engine till the fuel tank is empty ? Are you out of your mind, do you know how many hours that will take ?
You guys are freaking ridiculous with you advice !
And what will happen if the spark plug doesn’t get disconnected, what some spirit might crank the engine over while you’re draining the oil ?
Unbelievable !
