- "The cringe is real", or at least that's what cringey people say on the internet. But let's face it, when it comes to E3, with its scripted gameplay and CG demos, the cringe is probably the ONLY real thing on the stage. Prepare to curl your toes and bite your fists...

Which E3 cringe moments are your favourite? If, indeed, that's possible.
EA Play 2019
I love your videos and i don't even play videogames!
Drunk Keanu.
'one million troops' guy.
Definitely the best moment in e3 history.
Sony E3 '06. A certified classic, that all gamers of my age will never forget.
Let's not forget Bethesda E3 2019
*Bethesda Says Literally Anything*
8 Shmucks in the front row: WOOOOO WOOOOO WOOOOO WOOOOOO WOOOOO WOOOOOO!
Shmucks 😂😂😂😂
@@drizztdourden666 At what point in my comment did I say that I hate Bethesda? Also I have no idea what you are on about with the "weeaboo" comment.
@@drizztdourden666 I was actually referring to the drunk guys wooing throughout the conference. I never actually said anything about Bethesda themselves, just those guys. Fair enough about the Shogun thing though. Although I've never heard anyone describe Resident Evil as "Weeaboo" before. So that's neat.
“WE DO NOT WANT YOUR COMMENTS, PETER AUSTIN”
That poor prank host guy, being put on way before you're supposed to would smash anyone's confidence.
My favorite thing to ever happen during e3 will always be the giant enemy crab.
historically accurate giant robot crap…
*Jerma noises*
Riiiiiidge Raaaaaacer!!!!!
I mean the Japanese had giant monsters. Look at Godzilla.
The Konami 2010 conference is still one of the cringiest things I have still ever witnessed in my life. Literally the entire thing is so painful
I love hearing you speak but I also wanted to hear the cringe😢
It’d probably be copywright struck if it did. Luckily all these clips are available on CZcams
For real damn Copyright
@Stellvia Hoenheim that's the same for me, I can't stand watching cringe but listening to someone tell me a story of a cringy moment is hilarious too me lol
Thank you for this video. Peggle Two has single-handedly changed my life.
PEGGLE 2!!!!
(Tumbleweed)
Leaves
And that's only number 9......
I got the Platinum trophy for that 'game'. Popcap needs to make a Plants vs Zombies 3 for consoles.
@matt fahringer Why is that, Matt? From you point of view that's the only games I mentioned playing. Nothing says I don't play anything else.
I forget, was the infamous "don't you have phones?" Diablo announcement at E3? Or was that a completely different con?
That was during Blizz-Con 2018.
3:37 is so hilarious to me. I feel like the guy was totally self-aware (knowing it would be weird and silent) and it just worked perfectly.
also, PvZ: Garden Warfare is a surprisingly super-fun game.
If everyone was Keanu Reeves, no one would be breathtaking, because everyone would be breathtaking.
Who are you, the pediatrician from the Seinfeld episode "The Hamptons"? LOL.
@@DreFromMaine8472 With a dash of Assman.
Konami gets a pass from me for La Parka alone.
Could’ve turned the whole thing around if he just had a steel chair to play some calming tunes with 😂
That dudes delivery of "Giant Enemy Crab!" was very Tom Green.
In fact that dudes whole dialogue was very Tom Green.
The mobile esports game with casters announcing Command and Conquer for mobile at E32017 was pretty hard to watch also. *shivers*
This year have mobile games too
I god damn hate cringe, second hand embarrassment is me in a nutshell
Cringe is not a noun.
if you think this makes your skin crawl, just wait for the follow up...
'10 Most Cringeworthy GDQ Moments Of All Time' 😁👍
“So you’ve probably been wondering why I’ve been knitting...”
I'd really appreciate it if you were quiet
Oh man, Jamie Kennedy. When was the last time anyone heard of him?
well he's a billion times more popular than you'll ever be. Think about that sad thruth.
2013
@@murilloomarson3061 I'd rather live the life of a nobody more than live the life of Jamie Kennedy, at least as a nobody i can have some human dignity and decency.
I'm proud to say that I helped change some show floor rules of E3! In 1997, I was marketing a title named "Uprising" for Cyclone Studios (a division of The 3DO Company). We didn't have enough budget to be on the show floor, so I turned to guerrilla marketing techniques. I printed up thousands of glossy color posters, and continually affixed them to every wall, escalator, elevator, pillar, door, and restroom stall I could find. The posters were affixed with tape (so that surfaces would not be damaged and the posters could be easily removed), and I was careful to not cover up anyone else's paid signage. I only targeted unused, "neutral" public spaces.
The end result was that despite not having an actual E3 booth, "Uprising" received a massive amount of E3 buzz, industry press, and a fairly strong product launch that fall. E3 quickly implemented rules, so that any company who tried to copy this guerrilla marketing technique would be levied with massive fines. While it was a little desperate on my behalf, it broke no rules at the time; and I did what I could to help make our game a success. Je regrette rien.
So much cringe. Thanks for the list guys and nice job on 26k subscribers.
This just makes me appreciate Devolver's presentations even more than I already did...
It hurts. It physically hurts so much
I think you're misreading the Popcap one; it's meant to be over the top and riduclous because Peggle 2 is not a big deal and they knew it.
"comedian" thanks for reminding me this episode of E3 history, because I ignore who that guy was, I only remember Tony Hawk scolding some drunk jerk on stage.
Thank you for the Peggle 2 clip.
This video should be called “10 reasons why Nintendo invented the Nintendo Direct and consequentially killed E3”
I love Aisha but man she made me cringe too much.
game presenters at e3 gives off "summer camp councilor" vibes.
How about next time, you play the damn videos instead of explaining them to us
Just discovered your channel and love your stuff man 😁 subscribed
Good content lads. I reckon its only a matter of time before one of these goes viral
7:26 He's clearly doing the bit from Wayne's World which is somehow worse than what you innocently described.
I love Peter, but I do sometimes wonder if he's ever watched a single film, bar the Star Wars movies. How did he get his job at Name Redunded, I wonder?
That’s my bad, actually. This script wasn’t written by Peter, I wrote it and I haven’t watched Wayne’s World either.
@@mollymcdade4031 You need to rectify this! It's very silly, but a classic!
Yikes...I thought Son of the Mask was the worst thing that happened to Jamie Kennedy. At least that wasn't live...
10: I kinda feel bad for the guy. He's legit trying but fully aware he's experiencing Worst Case Scenario.
9. Dude is fully self-aware and I applaud him.
8. This was bloody hilarious. Giant Enemy Crabs, Riiiidge Racer!! $599 US Dollars!!
7. I'm not sure to this day what I watched.
6. Memes aren't manufactured, they're born.
5. Now we know why Konami left the video game business for a decade...
4. The only good think about Kinect is using it to search for ghosts.
3. One would almost think that he was set-up to fail by someone who didn't like him...
2. Just point and laugh. Not with them, but at them. There is no other response, so that is what I do.
1. Being drunk when being recorded for the the opening theme song of Samurai Pizza Cats is funny.
**_THIS WAS NOT._**
So much fremdschämen. But not Peggle 2. That was, as you so rightly said, glorious.
The audience from Bethesda's conference this year probably deserve a place, they took pretty much every announcement from 'meh' to kinda pathetic
7:20 It's the Wayne's World thing.
When your picture is on the thumbnail on a videos like this, that’s pretty bad.
WAYNES WORLD!!! (Watch a couple of films, Peter)
Just saying, but Randy Pitchford doing anything, including E3, in 2019 should be on the list.
The Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order interview at E3 2018 should’ve been there…made even worse by the fact that mobile games were the focus of EA’s conference
sorta surprised that one dude's "ever wonder what and avatar's shoe looks like" bit from one of the microsoft conferences didn't end up on here somewhere
E3 2010 was a special time to be watching live, it was like the gaming-business world had collectively gone crazy and most of the people watching were laughing their asses off. Konami's especially was almost an avant-garde attempt at subversive humour, my favourite part is just before the anime girls trailer came on screen, they wheeled out someone to describe the game and sell it before the trailer plays and to his credit he did a really good job and it all sounded fine, then the trailer starts and the anime girls appear and you just go "oh no...." and feel instantly bad for the guy that they forced out there to promote it
I can't believe this 3-year-old video is giving me so much 2nd hand embarrassment that I'm hyperventilating.
Im offended my ancestor died in that battle against the giant crab whats your problem
Nintendo has the right idea. Prerecord that shit.
Guys. I get TERRIBLE second hand embarrassment. Like I haven't seen a Ben Stiller film in a decade and a half. I don't want to watch this video, but I really want to support the channel... I finally understand the conflict within Luke Skywalker. I'm gonna throw you guys a Like, and watch all the commercials, but understand that it costs me everything!
Just cancel future events and send us an email with all the updates.
Honestly 2019 wasn't so bad. Bethesda had some slip ups, I heard EA was pretty bad, and Ubisoft had Just Dance, but beyond that it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Anyone else think Mr. Caffeine and Don Beveridge could combine to make "Mr. Coffee"?
Thank you Nick for having me........hey man
Those was like my presentations in school...
7:20 It'sa me, Caffeine Mario
lol - Bill Gates spazzing out, trying to hype the crowd
The worst i've ever seen was the presentation of the Xbox One, when they talked about the features and the DMR. The crowd was absolutely silent and the opposite of excited. The applause and and whistles came from speakers. No body moved.
i realise its an E3 list, but the diablo immortal showcase at blizzcon was so cringe that i think it should of broke into the list
This video was a bit much for me
Is 17 minutes your limit then?
@@espurious 16 minutes and 3 seconds to be exact x
Why were people getting so up in arms over not knowing about Wayne's world in the comments? The audience that saw it weren't really pleased by it (and probably didn't care)
I feel like too many forget the Lazer Tag game-thing showing that Ubisoft tried doing in 2010 to the most unenthused Joel McHale ever
Oh yes someone else remembers the Laser Tag moment. I thought it could've been in one of the Ubisoft presentations with Aisha.
@@ccricers i always thought that was funny
We can't really see the cringe since you talk over everything.
How cringe
im pausing the vid.
JESUS!!! i don't know if i can get past peggle2
“Giant enemy crap” better be here. And yes I purposely misspelled that. As everyone did
"Extreeeeeeme!
Extreeeeeeme!
Extreeeeeeme!
Not funny..."
- Tak Fujii
"You'll be sucked!"
Ahhhh yes....the memories come flashing back to me like a fever dream...cascading over me until I die from the embarrassment and have my sweet release that was taken from me
The Jessie but was really tough to watch live. The guy even said he didn't prepared that much for his original script but not only they rushed his queue but also gave him a teleprompter with another script.
I would've said "screw it" and recite the original script, but I'm also a good bullshitter from my university years presenting in front of my classmates. So I'd say his fail was more because of his nerves than anything else.
That tickles! Ffs 😂😭
Ravi Drums is a skilled drummer. But that Wii Music presentation really did a bad job of selling both the game and drummer's skills. Actually not a bad music game if you just want to mess around.
Junichi Masuda saying that a method for transferring all Pokemon into Gen 8 would leave a currently unnanounced number of species unavailable for use due to Sword and Shield not having them even programmed into the game?
8:43 - _"ehhhhhhhh..."_
ahahahaha
edit: i had no idea she went on to be the host of whose line is it anyway. she also has a lot of other stuff she's done, but that's where I know her from.
These always remind me of Principal Skinner holding an assembly.
dont forget that creepy sonicfox guy from 2018 he's immense cringe!
3:30 got me haha PEGGLE 2!!!
This list made me laugh. But it mostly made me cry.
My body is ready.
If that dude in the jean jacket would've just went with" years ago.....years ago.... years ago they tried to put me in a" he would've had way more success
watching cringe increases my power level
They should probably just not do E3 anymore
Could you post videos without the commentary?? I think the videos themselves explain better then you.
Sheesh that Kinect animal girl is braver than me I could never do that
One Million Troops... wow!
Pretty sure Mr Caffeine was on something else that starts with a ‘c’ and ends with an ‘e’.
12:47 the best thing about this was Black Panthaa in the background
E3 Press Conferences are made for the press (ei. Games Journalists) so I'd say the guy making a Nelson "Ha Ha" during Battlefield 4 is the cringeiest as it both puts into question the professionalism of games journalists and (if that guy wasn't actually press) the maturity of the people in attendance.
Number 1 should be that one full Sony presentation. 2006, I think?
Not sure they thought they were gonna get a big reaction for Peggle 2 lol
I love how you never really show any of the clips, and just cut through them and talk instead, awesome.
for me its Aisha Tyler in every E3 she's ever been apart of. it feels like she played a video game once and has been pretending to be a gamer ever since as a way of boasting her already non-existing career.
I felt really bad for this guy. At 13:27 almost looks like he’s going to cry, probably thinking he’ll lose his job, even though it wasn’t his fault.
That comment at the end though! Big oof! I thought that was a joke as I hadn't paid attention to the date of when this went out and had to check to be sure. Man, if ya only knew.
I dont know if it was at E3, but does someone else remember a guy "showing" how to "stab" (in game) with a wiimote controller?
Mr caffeine .. more like mister cokaine lol
To be fair, the PS3 had wireless networking built in and, depending upon where you lived, the 360 WiFi adapter was $60~100, so the price balanced out. I say this as someone that bought the 360 first.
Wish you would actually show the whole incidences after you finish talking about them
I suffer from serious 2nd hand embarrassment
Oh dear god...Please don't remind me of that horrible Jamie Kennedy "experiment"!! I remembering watching it back when it happened, and honestly thinking it some kind of publicity stunt or some kind of prank maybe because I simply couldn't believe they let the man in the building, much less on stage, when he was so obviously wasted and acting so unprofessional! But it didn't take too long to realize that it was sadly not a joke, well it was kind of a joke, but not in that way,
I mean I kinda get it, at big live event like that it's hard to control everything and maybe they didn't have a back-up plan (which kinda blows my mind..considering it's such a big important event and all), but after the first few minutes they had to realize that maybe just maybe they needed to get him off that stage if they wanted to save whatever was left of the show and it's reputation, and minimize any more damage...But nope, they just kept letting him go on and on, and on...
E3 has been getting worse every year for a long time, but I knew after that happened that it's was never going to get any better and that it was all downhill from there. From it's inception it was nothing more than a glorified commercial for the games industry, but it back in the day it was something everyone look forward to every year, not only because It was literally the biggest gaming event in the world, but because you knew that every single company was coming together, in what can only be a called an truly epic celebration of gaming, and were going to go all out and try and out-do each other. It was almost guaranteed that they were going to do something bigger and better than the last year...Unfortunately, like a dying star, that kind of growth could only go on for so long before it gets so big it collapses in on itself.
But now, for better or worse, it's pretty much nothing more than a shell of it's former shelf and with so many major companies doing their own thing now, I'm honestly surprised it's still even a thing anymore.
The peggle 2 clip oh my god hahahahat
But that's B RAD from Malibu Playa
No mention of just dance?
I'm not in any way blaming the little Kinectimals girl - she's just delivering exactly what she was told to do - but that presentation is by FAR the most painful one to watch.
E3 is dead but at least we got to see these cringe moments forever.
