  • Metering modes is very important to get correct exposure in Photography. There are different metering modes which helps the Camera to guess the correct exposure. In this video, I talk about Matrix Metering, Spot Metering and Center Weighted Metering which are the basic metering modes present in all the cameras.
    1. Matrix Metering: 0:50
    2. Center Weighted Metering: 1:57
    3. Spot Metering: 2:50

Hey saurav as you said about the recompositing in center weighted metering , we have to do it same as we do in focus and recompose or is there any method to it ?
      Thanks :)

It's simple. For portraiture and product photography, use the spot metering mode. For landscapes, use matrix metering mode or, when you want to highlight a subject in your landscape, use spot or center weighted metering mode.

Hi! Thank you for this video. I Liked it :) My question is.. if you use spot metering for portrait and after you shutter click half way to get exposure calculated and move the frame/composition wouldn't the calculation change? because I almost always change the composition.. I know on live view you can click the touch screen and change the spot to wherever point I want but I usually use view finder..
