    • @royalrenovatorsinc.5663
      @royalrenovatorsinc.5663  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Great question, we love the challenging feedback! Fiberboard can be nailed down if a deck is wood, as per the manufacturer. By choice, you can screw it down as well. You can probably also screw and glue it down. The question becomes how far do you really need to go. We've found cap nails to be the perfect balance between going overboard and quality workmanship! And we have a very low warranty rate %, and so the proof is in the pudding!

      @royalrenovatorsinc.5663  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Great question! To give very rough math, approximately $10,000. Flat roof warranties can vary, but on a residential house expect a labor and material warranty between 10-20 years! Given inflation, money savings of not needing further repair costs, and the increased resale value of the house - if you can afford it, especially with the peace of mind it comes with, do it!

      Great question. EPDM is a reliable material option for flat roofs aka "low-sloping" roofs. However, solely based on this information, without seeing your exact roof's details, we wouldn't be able to answer if it is the best roofing material option. General advice would be to explore several estimates, with reliable companies that have good ratings online and with the BBB and local consumer affairs, and to ask their representatives the exact questions you have. A good roofing company will necessarily have estimators that leave you feeling comfortable, including providing adequate answers to your questions.

      A roof is best insulated between the rafter beams with fiberglass insulation (the pink fluffy stuff) - it gets the most R-value aka heat retention.
