Peter has always had a "Self Destructive" Personality. Think about it, he thought he could be Married to Two Women at The Same Time, he ruins every relationship he has, he has alot of abandonment issues (IE His Mother Dying, Susan His Twin Dying and what alot of folks don't know is that when you lose a "Twin" it can affect you psychologically and he still has alot of Anger towards his Father, he's a recovering alcoholic and he still doesn't take responsibility for his actions let alone his life.
