Hey Alan, I found your podcast after I got curious about Buddhism. I fell in love with the podcast and your videos on this channel. I was in your top 0.01 percent of listeners according to Spotify lol. Anyway thanks for the content man I really enjoy it.
Thanks! I'm just a layperson like you. If you ever have the chance to visit a Buddhist temple and affiliate with them, it's the best experience to learn under monastics. Depending on the temple, they often have classes and even short term retreats. These are excellent ways to learn the basics and techniques that you can use back home.
Hi alan ,I 'am a buddhist and I live near a wild monastery ,I practice meditation on daisy basis, here we have monks who are definitely enlightened ones,my goal is also enlightenment ❤
It may not 100% answer your question, but I do have a video on meditation: czcams.com/video/KiT47BGm7x8/video.html. I'll keep your suggestion in mind for future video. Of interest, Vipassana meditation is a fairly recent invention out of Burma. There was no such type of meditation by the Buddha. Vipassana is the result of meditative concentration, but not a form of meditation by itself. But, the commonly referred to Vipassana Meditation is a form created out of Burma which has become popular.
@@AlanPeto Thanks for clarifying that Vipassana is not a mediation told by the Buddha . I'll watch your 30 minutes video on meditation. BTW I am meditating a lot since last month and I see a lot of changes in myself. I got inspired to meditate thanks to the Hindi serial "Buddha: Rajaon Ka Raja"...
