  • Well, actually this flight was very unpleasant but it wasnt the fault of the Airline. The pilots had to deal with really bad weather in Vienna and Milan all the way. They did a good Job at the End.
The Airbus A320-100 is an early variant of the Airbus A320 family, a series of narrow-body, twin-engine, short-to-medium range commercial passenger jet airliners. Here are some key details about the Airbus A320-100:
    General Information:
    Manufacturer: Airbus
    First Flight: 22 February 1987
    Introduction: 28 March 1988
Primary Users: Air France (initially), among others.
Production Period: 1987-1993 (The A320-100 was quickly succeeded by the A320-200)
    Technical Specifications:
Seating Capacity: Typically configured to seat around 150 passengers.
Engines: Equipped with either CFM International CFM56-5A or International Aero Engines V2500.
    Length: 37.57 meters (123 feet 3 inches)
    Wingspan: 34.10 meters (111 feet 10 inches)
    Height: 11.76 meters (38 feet 7 inches)
Max Takeoff Weight (MTOW): Approximately 68,000 kg (150,000 lbs)
    Differences from A320-200:
Range: The A320-100 has a shorter range compared to the A320-200. The A320-200 is equipped with wingtip fences (winglets), which help reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency and range. The A320-100 does not have these.
Fuel Capacity: The A320-100 has less fuel capacity compared to the A320-200. This impacts the maximum range the aircraft can achieve.
Production Numbers: The A320-100 had a limited production run. Only about 21 aircraft were built before production shifted to the more advanced A320-200.
    Usage:
Airlines: The A320-100 was used by several airlines initially but has largely been phased out of service in favor of the more capable A320-200 and its subsequent variants.
    Historical Significance:
The A320-100 played a crucial role in the early years of the Airbus A320 family, which went on to become one of the most successful and widely used aircraft families in commercial aviation history. The innovations introduced with the A320 series, such as fly-by-wire controls, set new standards in the industry.
The A320-100, while no longer in production or widespread use, was an important step in the evolution of commercial aviation and the success of the Airbus A320 family.
