In this video I will venture into the streets of Old Havana to experience it like a local. Unfortunately, my camera gives away my status as a tourist and my quest to blend in is ruined. Havana's culture of gaming tourists goes back a long time, in this one I will meet some of these players. The word Jinetero/a is now used as a catch all term for any person who makes money off of tourists. Instead of run away from the jineteros.... I leaned into the experience.
Your voice could be in a movie or on radio
Thank you Garrett! Do you have the hook up for the movie gigs!? 🔥🔥 I’m ready!
Seen a lot of CZcams videos on Cuba but I’m convinced to visit only when I watch your videos. Good content, great work Keenan👍
Thank you brother Jay!! Its comments like this one that keep me moving my brother… I really appreciate that you are getting value out of these Cuba videos! As you already know… CZcams is a tough game.
Excellent Cuba review mate. Appreciate the honesty. I'm sick of condescending youtubers going on about the lovely little Cubans and their great food. Lol. I'm going to Cuba for sure, I can't wait. Maybe not too long in Havana though.
Thanks for coming through and watching this one Ben! Havana is the centerpiece of the Cuban experience but within you have so many ppl out to rip off the foreigner in La Habana… It comes from a place of desperation… I see it in a lot of other places. Definitely check out those other places… I will branch out on the return trip to try out more…. Bless up
There is absolutely no substitute for the real streets of Cuba, thanks for the content
Thank you fam! Going back for more sooon!
It looks the same when i lived there. Any time i walked those streets and talked to a Afro Cuban and they knew English 9 out of 10 they kids of Jamaicans from the 1920's. There used to be a area Jamaicans lived i dont know if they still there. Over all i loved it great music love the girls and interesting country. Jamaica was under Spain 1494-1655 so we had also Spanish history like Cuba.
When I was in Havana the “China Comida” meal I had made me ill for weeks. Good call
Thanks Desertflower! The unfortunate part is that at some point I made the wrong choice and would have diarrhea for about a week after making this video!
Thanks for the video! I’ll be in Havana next week Thursday, I will be looking more of your videos on CZcams. Bless up
Travel safe mi bredda! Blessings!
I agree with your voice. Its really nice to listen too. You could make a lot of money with that voice in US! I am not talking about movie, but more like Radio, History, Cartoon movies and so on. Really nice voice to listen too. Just love it! Keep on and be safe.
I went to Santa Clara Cuba. Looks identical and the streets were popping there too. I as well got put into an over pay situation. I didn’t make a fuss. They needed the money more than I. Coolest thing I did was rent a taxi driver for the entire day. Driving be us all around the city and surrounding villages. Was my favourite part of the trip. Cuba is a wonderful country and I will definitely return
Thank you for the persepective Stevo! Would you say Santa Clara is worth the visit?
Did you have to pay it all up front?
Dope work my brother, keep posting.
Mr. Dubois!!! Blessings family! I’m keeping it going 🔥🔥🔥
Keenan aaayyyyeeee!! I rarely see your notifications! Looking great!
Welcome back D!!! Thank you much love! You set the trend for our CZcams class! I’m following you!
Like your videos. I was in Cuba back in 2013.
Thank you Wayne! Did you enjoy?!
Yes, I enjoyed it very much. You gave am honest depiction of life in Cuba.
I'll be there In a month, can't wait!
I'm Cuban and I live in the USA. There are alot of black Cubans in the states.🇨🇺
85% of Cubans in the United States self identify as white.... As of the 2010 census.
@@KeenanLambert198 I don't I consider myself afro latina.

I enjoy the Pizza in Hotel Copacabana. . But always ask for oregano on it. Cuban cheese with mix of italian style and oregano is really good in Hotel Copacabana. They also have a sea pool you can enjoy. Close by you have Don Cangrejo and close to that a beautiful restaurant litterally sitting in the ocean watching the sun fall down.
I would say that the racial mix of Cubans in Miami is mainly white because those were the rich Cubans that left when Castro took over. However, Havana is more mixed but if you go to the rural areas of Cuba, you will see that the ratio of white Cubans is much higher than in Havana.
I think I ought to return to see some of that 😬
@@KeenanLambert198 It also depends on what you want to see. By rural areas, I meant the cities that are much further from Havana, like in the middle of Cuba. Most don’t have the diversity of nightlife like Havana, but the energy in the few available options will be just as high. Cubans like to party a lot. If you like beautiful beaches, you can go to Varadero or go to the Cayos (Cayo Coco and Cayo Santa Maria). The Cayos provide only all-inclusive accommodations, but if you don’t want to do the all-inclusive thing, you can stay in one of the nearby towns like Remedios (for Cayo Santa Maria) or Moron (for Cayo Coco).
That is true but their are is a high percentage of mixed Cubans everywhere in Cuba. Whites are a minority. I would say Cuba is %50-%60 mixed, %30 white and %10 black. The thing is mixed Cubans have a wide spectrum of skin tones so you will have people like me who look more black and you will have people that look like Eva mendes who are lighter but isn’t truely white.
Honest review on CUBA,i was also in different cities and province of China,it look china town of Cuba was not vibrant when u pass by.
Chinatown was def not vibrant! What was China like?
I was thinking of staying in Vedado, are there alot of women walking around that area similar to Centro Havana? Vedado looks nicer but I dont wanna be too far from the people and shops.....Also is it easy to find taxis no matter where you are? Even at night?
Vedado is a far nicer area to stay in and they're a lot less scammers all over you. Taxi's are usually on Avenida 23. If you can't find any for some reason. There is a taxi rank in front of Havana Libre Hotel (Calle L and Avenida 23). I go there all the time when I'm staying in Vedado. If you are posing as a local you can catch the route collectivos for the low.
Late night after clubbing once everything is closed Cafeteria La Rampa is open right there.....
@@KeenanLambert198 thanks man, did you have wifi out in the streets or only in your casa?
They have sim cards for sale now.... I like to go with just the wifi in the house and skate around town disconnected....
Better stay in Vedado. A lot is going on there, and it is not far from Centro or old habana. Just a good walk. Stay for.e. in calle 15 entre J e I. Close to the Malecon and a lot of taxi close by.
When you travel to Havana, how do you get a tour guide like you mentioned?
I would hit up the Cuban Plug on IG... he is the best and wont run you into any problems.
Mostly old cars in 30s,40s up
But architecture is a glimpse of past.
Its great because you get a sense of the different eras of architecture... I saw some soviet era housing projects too... All very interesting! Those old cars have gotten sooo much care over the years and have become a part of the Cuban identity.
Hi bro cool videos. Are you cuban's descendant?
Bless up! No I am Jamaican... I do have a cousin of Cuban descent though.... Due to the activies of the United Fruit Company many Cuban - Jamaicans exist!
During the 90s the party was hot in China Town. Full of party people. Now its a Mierda...
Dude your voice is gold you should definitely narrate documentaries or do voiceover work
If you have the link let me know! ✊🏾

Its a trip back in time!
5:50 I have only seen cubano guys kiss NEAR the cheek when greeting but they actually never touch it, I have never seen other latinos do it😝
LOL! Its different! I'm not knocking it - It's a cultural difference that takes some getting used to lol!
My boy how you keep getting scammed 🎉😮
The truth is, I see it coming and let it happen in this one…… I have to have the experience to talk about it 😭😭
@@KeenanLambert198 what the chica run for on average
Thank you!
🤣🤣 I know you’re still mad at me for that DR piece 😭
You know you had fun with Daniel. That plug was your Bro.
He scammed me but he was super informative so I wasn’t mad at all lol
@@KeenanLambert198 No cap 🤣
How to pick up there are local good lookin girl? For Example Can they go with you in the hotel or motel room over night?
As a US passport holder I have been forced to use airbnbs(less supervision/endless fun)…. In Havana’s hotels, overnight guest rules are less enforced but Varadero is strict with it.
Go for Casa Particular!! Not Hotel!
What's the name of the red-light street
Close to the intersection of Galiani and Zanja... But super late
Is it true you can’t bring in vapes ?
I am not sure what the official policy is but they checked me very intensely going in and coming out. Please don't bring a vape just to be safe!
That is one sad looking excuse for a pizza 🍕 😢
Your videos are pretty good. You have to come up with a cool name. Don't just use your real name. You need a trademark that captures the audience.
Big ups family!!! I’m going to stick with it because I may transition into other stuff in the future and the trademark may run contrary to it
It was going to be Millennial Travel Guide….. But the time for that has passed
Okay. Keep up the good work bro
Have you ever thought about doing Narrations for Audiobooks?.
I’d love to
As she Quietly! approached the Door! Something wasn't quite Right! as she turned to observe! her Surroundings!. The Blissful! By Billy Williams!.
San Rafael
It turns into an interesting walking street at night.
dunno how you got scammed?
The restaurant with Daniel
Want pizza? There are 6 expat Italian restaurants in Havana
The materials are the issue….
Some of them get materials in the diplomatic pouch as Italian embassy staff eat at two in particular
@@hockleyvalleycoffeeroaster4599 I’ll have to try one. Do you have a name for one?
@@KeenanLambert198 yes...but I don't want to publicly post it
What a vibrantly depressing sight Havana is. It's a shame what the US has done to that country and its population...a sin, really.
The only way out of this situation for Cuba is economic liberalization… 😌
Or for a greater Caribbean nation to be established… Would never happen though
@@KeenanLambert198 can’t have that there’s an embargo on Cuba.
Chinese restaurants were horrible!!
The ratings were horrible…. I send you many kudos brave soul!
