Btw. I believe the Z250 is based on the outgoing Ninja 250. The time z250 was first launched, starting with markets like Malaysia, the ninja 300 was yet to hit showrooms.

+cool_buddy The bike is very refined and it being a Kawasaki you can expect it to perform very well. And about the Z250 SLA, there is no official word on it.

I've been using this bike in Malaysia for half a year and so far no complaints. Apart from the not so grippy tyres (Road Winner for the Malaysian version) pretty much its a complete package. The power is there and has a good range of torque but do not expect a top speed of a normal super bike..haha. I wish the upcoming version (if available in the near future) will include abs as a standard option. cheers :) and nice vids.

KD patel There is no official news on either of the Yamaha or the Honda. The Kwacker belongs to a much different genre than the previous two.

Its been a while since this review was posted and with the R3 released and the BMW 310R and Yamaha MT03 expected in the near future I really pray Kawasaki releases the Z300 WITH ABS at a reasonable price...so what happened to the comprehensive road test of z250 ?

The Z250 is something that we have to test extensively. The SL on the other hand is a machine that we might not get. As far as the G310R goes, October is when we shall know :)

Anyway, I heard you say a couple of times in the video that the upright position is great for handling. But isn't front leaning riding posture more confidence inspiring around the corners?
I always find upright posture less confidence inspiring and uncomfortable around corners in comparison.
+bellicromanx It is not an out and out track tool and built for more of city driving, hence the upright position favorable that way :)
I'm getting Z250 soon, rolling it out in the next few more weeks. What tyres would you think best suit this bike on day to day ride instead of putting them into race track? I'll be using it to travel to working and needed to travel around 75km every single day on regular highways.

Depends on what you crave for in a motorcycle. There's the sweet refinement of the parallel twin on Z, but awesome tyres on the Duke. Heck! Don't make us choose! Buy both!

Nithin Ragav Sarge is about 5'11" tall and he found it to be quite comfortable. The Duke is a little deviated when it talks about ergonomics for taller riders.

There are two models of this bike the z250 and the z250sl, i wanna know what happened to the z250?..anyone know what happened?....cause the z250 is more powerful than the SL and i prefer the z250 but i have my doubts if the z250 has problems or what? in some countries the z250 was discontinued. Wonder why you guys haven't reviewed the Suzuki Inazuma yet. Heard good reviews about the bike but for its looks. Would love to see a review on the Inazuma from you folks!

+kapil koka A lot has changed. The Yamaha R3 is now in the picture too. As far as your height goes, the duke 390 is shorter and you will be a bit cramped up. Head to the nearest Yamaha and Kawasaki showrooms and see which one suits your body the best. :)

Being a naked, it is comfortable in the city and can be easily used for commuting. :)

Guys, excellent job as always. You are my go to guys for bike reviews. Needed a bit of help. Z250 or Duke 390. Performance is the key factor for me followed by overall build quality and I like riding long and hard. Price is not a concern. Have been mulling over this for almost a month now, would really appreciate your inputs
