This is the full length film. A Belfast man, who steals cars for a living, dreams of retiring to Barcelona. Tight choice between the Astra and the Granada. I love the Astra cos I had one myself, but the Granada is, or rather was, a beast :)

I live in derry and anyone living anywhere in ireland can relate to this somehow, same goes for you me and marley, it all hits home to everyone, growing up i remember my brothers friends stealing cars from right outside our house, happened that regularly that one of them even got a punishment shooting, northern irelands fucked up

When we came to England we lived with my aunt in lower broughton Salford and they filmed you me and Marley scenes on the hills facing her house it’s crazy how similar your estates look exactly like ours like road for road st for st the subways the shopping precincts 💚💚💚💚
2 crap films in my opinion. Me & Marley was based on the 1990 murder of two Belfast teenagers & the injury of a third by the British Army parachute regiment who opened fire on a car the teenagers were in, that movie just propagated the British Army's terms of events & made out the victims who were murdered to be stupid hoods.

If you want to watch a good realistic movie about poor working-class teens who are involved in petty crime watch Ken Loach's Sweet Sixteen which is about a teenager from Scotland who starts selling heroin to buy a home for his younger brother & his mother who is currently in prison. Or watch Larry Clark's 1995 debut film called Kids, it's set in New York but most working-class Irish teenagers who grew up in a city or large town will be able to relate to it.

I I used to fix up ford Capris. I had a 72 full suspension and a Ed Hale built 2300. 3 1976’s customized black version 3.8 L supercharged ford engine. Cornered like they were on rails.
I would not have described them as gangsters more like children.

stared out kinda funny and cool in some weird way, then it turned serious and someway stipud at the end, this had the potiential of being a block buster but the government control had to be the big "star" and the movie change its direction,
all~n~all it was a good movie and i liked it,
the crown always has to control everything and wreck all in the process, cant even make a good movie what that control-all element in it... its like, "hi, were the crown and were here to take away all good and fun things in life haha" (while dancing around sprinkling fairy dust up in the air).

You Me and Marley is far more grounded and realistic. Accelerator just seems so OTT, especially the ending like it was Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. Marley showed a tragic side to this joyriding crap, that you get hurt when you mess with the wrong people. I didn't feel bad for anyone is this film.

I was a teenager back then in the jr era of dublin, what a buzz. I miss them days of smoking hash sounds pumping and just buzzin and skiddin around the country and getting chased from the gardaí.. we did it cause there was fuck all else to do, 'and the little rush ye'd get from it aswell. 🚘🛣🚗 🚓🚔

i live in aus.in the 80s they where stealing high end cars ..draining them of oil and racing them to see which one blew up first ..Lamborghini and Ferrari didnt last longer than 10 minutes..bmw ..whole tank of petrol..fun days
