Honestly coming out of the cave and seeing the forerunner building just floating i would honestly sit down and have a sweet tea and watch it till the sun goes down
It's my favorite gameplay moment in the series!
Moved me nearly to tears when I first saw it. Grew up on the old Halos, and this was the first time we had a truly BEAUTIFUL shot. Was so cool to my young mind.
You've got me imagining Chief remembering southern-style iced tea from when he was a kid like yeeeah... could go for that about now

When they mention reclaimer they simply mean to say that humans are reclaimers, not that humanity as a whole is one thing
Unpopular opinion, but I absolutely love Halo 4's music. Yes, it's very different from what we've gotten used to up until this point, but it I really do love it, "Wreckage" and "117" being my two favorites.
Green and Blue is just so amazing

Liking the music and story was never really the unpopular opinion tho. Liking multiplayer and the art style changes like the elites/chiefs armor on the other hand tho…
Personally to me it was forgettable

Well Master Chief was already said to be heavily linked to the Forerunners in Halo 3 just before the fight with Guilty Spark where he says “you are the child of my makers, inheritor of all things they left behind, you are Forerunner”

Yeah that’s literally every human. Master Chief is just the one who’s usually there
I think that line is just a remnant of the original lore where humans and forerunners are the same, which was changed in 3s development I think
@@Ho_Lee_FookI always thought it wasn't meant literally anyway, but I figure the Forerunners technically created modern humans, so in a way yeah literal.
So for your abilities it says press X to use it and I know in reach it told you that you have sprint where halo 4 doesn't tell you that you have sprint the whole time and if you click the Left stick down you will start sprinting. Just some nice tips to know about :)
Spartans can actually go weeks or even months without eating, despite the massive amount of calories they burn on the battlefield. The gel layer they wear (the black suit beneath the armor) helps circulate nutrients that went unspent from their last intake. Meaning they can operate for long periods of time without food or water without slowing down. And since Chief has been in cryo for just shy of 5 years, he hasn't really been burning up any excess nutrients the suit may still be cycling.
Also, yes, the Forerunner's were known for making 'artificial' planets and structures that imitate the real thing. A hollow, synthetic planet is honestly the smaller of their feats as a species.

I always thought it was soooo cool how the new weapons assembled themselves in your hands. Also you've already encountered the worst part of halo 4... never having enough ammo haha

The majority of newer players seem to like Halo 4. It's fun seeing them play.
Yeah in my experience when you have someone new to Halo play through the MCC Halo 4 or Reach are usually their favorite.
It goes to show how prominent nostalgia is in the long-time Halo community imo.
I started playing halo in 2021 and Halo CE is my favourite, not just nostalgia, Bungie just made better games. (The only bungie games I didn't like were Halo 2 and Reach.)
@@samlathem2793 well it's certainly not everyone, but it's definitely the pattern.
Also I find it funny how we have exact opposite opinions on the Bungie games because Reach and Halo 2 are my second and third favorite games in the series respectively, meanwhile CE and Halo 3 are the two Bungie Halo games I'm lukewarm on
@TheAstrobiologistOW Just to clarify, I think 2 and reach have the best stories in all of halo, but 2 has linear level design, and both halo 2 and reach have an unbalanced legendary difficulty
CE (in my opinion) is perfect except for the library. And 3 is almost as good as CE if not for the changed voice actors and not as good writing.

Finally part 2
Although I didn’t play most of the other halo games as a kid this one was prominent in my life and it feels so nostalgic for me at least tho it’s the same with the other games this one is more nostalgic for me
The mod that removes the yellow-brown filter in this game makes it so much better visually
Reflow makes the game look and feel better in general without making many truly substantial changes. It's pretty nice.
im glad i found someone that is playing these games for the first time now even though I've laid all it gets me more exciting to see someone new play it and really appreciate the emotions and the things that are happening good JOB please do halo 5 next or maybe infinity even though its more of a free roam
try to notice the parallels between halo ce's story as you play, it's done very well

Have you been thinking of or reading other Halo Books? There is a entire Forerunner Trilogy of novels that pretty much expand the story you see in the Terminals.

Halo 4 has the strongest art style in the series IMO, especially with the Forerunner stuff. It carries the 2012 graphics capabilities to the point that I genuinely find it more pleasant to look at than Halo Infinite's graphics.
Also the lore reason for why this Forerunner architecture is so much more grandiose and ornate than what we see on the Halos and the Ark is really interesting but I won't spoil it!
I agree, I was always fond of how it looked and sounded, I could never quite tell why though. I still wish they kept the look of the previous games in terms of model, but the art direction, lighting, coloring, all of it is superb.

@Spark412 bro is just mad that halo 4 chief is literally the default look of him everywhere now. Literally such a badass design and so iconic. People who like the old design better are like when devs put old polygonal Lara croft in modern games😂

I think the reason you're getting copyrighted is because neil Davidage was more liberal with Copyright than Marty and Micheal Salvatori was.
Halo 4 is the only game that has copyrighted music for some reason
Ahh yes, Halo 4 is a mixed bag, I think it's better now than Halo 5 and Halo Infinite.

I never understood why Chief immediately assumed Infinity couldn't be further inside Requiem, as Cortana said they'd already passed through one layer and even if Chief had assumed that the outside metal layer was the "shield" of the shield world and that this was the only interior; he'd been inside the second layer of installation 04 during CE and barely batted an eyelid, so it wasn't like this was unprecedented in Forerunner architecture.
Honestly I think the story for Halo 4s Spartan ops is stronger than the main campaign
