About the question you asked
In a fetus whose legs are not crossed,the signs to look for are the hamburger sign and the turtle sign.
The hamburger sign: This usually indicates that the fetus is female. The genitalia appears as three lines which represents the 2 labia majora and the clitoris.
The turtle sign: This usually indicates that the fetus is male.The tip of the penis appears to peek out from between the testicles. Also male fetuses have erections even in utero and this might sometimes be seen on ultrasounds and this is a clear sign.
So when the baby's legs are crossed
We look at the spine area, there's a caudal nub.
In male fetuses it points upwards at an angle of more than 30 degrees.
In female fetuses it is more horizontal and it is at an angle which is less than 30 degrees. There are other signs (I'm still in med school lol) but you might be able to get more information if you're scheduled for another scan. Hope this helps .Lots of love

Lol I'm totally with Amara on the eating before praying thing. Don't quote me on this but I've heard that you should eat or take care of whatever is bothering you in the moment before you pray so that you can focus on your prayer and not think about how hungry you are 😂

Cool gadgets, I had pelvic pain and lower back pain in my last pregnancy, had to buy a support belt online, I like yours as it supports alot, wear it under clothing so it don't look like diapers from afar 😂 I was so convinced I was carrying a girl but it was a boy, ultrasound did confirm boy, I was like you sure, how do you know for sure? The funny story is that they told my Mother I was a baby boy and she was shocked to see a Baby Girl when I came out 😂 This is why, I prefer not to know the gender of the baby before birth

From memory you had the scan at 20weeks, by then it's very clear to see the gender. & yes if it was a boy, it would be extremely obvious. I have 3 boys & just recently had my first girl. I could tell at 12weeks with them all & my girls scans were so different to my boys one. Do you have any scan photo's that show the nub? If it's flat & horizontal with babies spine then it's a girl. If you have a potty shot angle then you would see 3 lines like a burger for a girl. Hope this helps.

ASA, to comment on eating and prayer in Hadith it says that if your food is ready you eat first and pray after. SOOOOO yea, lol of course it’s alright to pray first but you SHOULD eat first if your food is ready.

The placenta can move up to the end of your pregnancy so, you will need another scan just before delivery. Why have a c-section if you don't have to. NOT having the legs open lowers the accuracy of finding the gender. Testies are not always so dropped to be visible. Your tech did not sound very nice. So, they can get in trouble writing the wrong gender down but no trouble if they're verbally wrong? 😂🤣😅😂🤣
So I wrote this before getting to the bit where you explained what happened at the ultrasound, it sounds like your baby is indeed a girl. But I am going to post this comment anyway because it is informative:
Your baby could be intersex, and if they are, please don't let the medical staff pigeon-hole them into a gender role. Gender theory isn't just about people with typical sexual and reproductive systems defying societal norms, but some people are born physically and visibly in-between, and that's okay. In the case of an intersex child, don't let the medical staff perform unnecessary surgeries on the child, i.e if they are physically healthy and not in any pain, leave their body as it is, raise them gender neutrally and see if they gravitate towards femininity or masculinity (or perhaps they'll sit right in the middle), and when they are older they can make decisions about their body.

Yes, it’s possible. We had another scan at 32 weeks and it was confirmed that we are having a baby girl in shaa Allah. You still never know though?? 😅
