A Mk2 Golf is a good candidate as well. There was one for sale for 15k that already had a 2l 8v swapped into it. Would be a fun drag or gymkhana car.

For entry level racer. A mk1 bd mk2 golf, tazz, corolla, bmw e36, nissan sentra, nissan 1400,ford bantum, laser, 323.

Cheap and racing are words that seldom go together. Market Place is also full of unfinished project cars because the finances don't support the ambition. Its not as easy as buy a R15k Golf and go to Killarney.
Agreed, but the point is to get started and just drive. It’s the parked project cars that are way worse.

Great video spot on topic even my car had to stand for a bit because of parts. I had a sentra its the stuff just because how good of an engineered car it is golf are just all over so i would go sentra just they rust like crazy like hondas of the era!
What sentra did you have like engine , manual or auto etc and how is the reliability on them ?
@@antonioperez9545 i had a 1994 1600 carburetor it was super realiable they do have issues with their cooling system mine did its when the internals start rusting then when they over heat the head gaskets go and the head warps. Mine overheated like 3 times on the 3rd time it cracked the head and thats when i gave up. So if you do get one make sure the engine suppprting parts like water pipes and all of that is sorted and you run full coolant and still water so it doesnt rust the internals like waterpump and thermostat. Other than that and body rust you gotta stay ontop of they are good cars. Better than a mk1 golf and carolla of the time in my opinion unless you getting the GLE 1800 executive

great video, this is why my daily is a e30 but my drift cars are e36, parts are cheap and everywhere and i dont care about bending 36s. if i bent my e30 i would cry xD
If you’re living with parents or in an apartment the best advice I can provide is to be patient. Educate yourself and focus on income growth. Good luck, you’ve chosen one of the most expensive hobbies out there 😂
