The second step in our apartment spruce-up is of course thrifting key pieces so we headed out to New Jersey and Long Island in search of them. Well, how interesting to see a jaw dropper at the thrift joint and at least you know you have something in common. Ouch, on the wax burn. Okay you got your thrift pal with you on this trip and she even coming out when she probably rather be home curled up on the sofa. I remember those shoes they were called jellys when I was a kid but they were so great. I have a couple of pairs that I bought before covid19 and my thought of them as poolside shoes but haven't worn them yet. Growing up (born early 60s and in the south) every lady of class had a candy dish in their sitting area that would contain mints or other wrap candy for guests and these containers were just exquisite.
