Growing up as a little girl, I remember my father bought this record and would play it often. Now was my Dad a believer? I don’t know; he might have been…only God knows! The words in this song are so real, so beautiful and so very true! May you be blessed this Lord’s Day! Amen
This is fascinating to me. I found out recently I'm loosely related to Stuart Hamlin. I didn't even know his name until this week. The fact that he gave up his career because he refused to promote alcohol is amazing to me. My grandmother was married to Stuart's brother. He would get drunk and beat her something terrible. She eventually walked away and later married my grandfather. The truth is, Jesus has the power to change people and set them free, forever. I'm so glad to see this, to hear Stuart's voice not only in word but song. And someday I will meet him, and worship Christ face to face with him.
It’s December 10, 2023. Out of nowhere, I started singing this chorus! With a few words, I found it. My mom used to sing it in many other songs the whole time I was growing up, she would be doing housework or cooking or baking or whatever she was always singing. And sometimes she will be singing and playing the piano, by ear. These old songs, remind me of her and how much I miss her!❤❤❤❤✌🏻
This man testified to John Wayne about the Lord, yet knowing the truth about God John never did accept the Lord. Money and fame addiction was a stronger pull. Sad he died lost. 😢
Years ago I read the news for Billy Graham at his radio station in Black Mountain NC in 1971. WFGW William Franklin Graham’s Wife and WMIT-FM. I decided to pull a joke on him. I typed a news bulletin like it had just come over the wire “THE JAPANESE HAVE JUST ATTACKED PEARL BAILEY.” I went in and handed it to Graham. He looked at it and said, “This just came over the wire?” I replied “it was just a joke.” 6:50
God still works miracles even today (2024)🙏
