I would also say that the screen transitions need a little work, there were many times I thought you were going to fall directly to your death when moving to the next screen. A little widening of the platforms would fix that quite easily.
The screen transitions are a bit snug and deadly if approached wrong. One tile can often be the difference between a smooth transition and an uncalled for death. Good creativity with Flame Man 1 and Wily (Pluto) Machine, definitely not your standard fights. All in all, just needs a few more tweaks and tests to make this stage/game even better.
