Hardware is not the problem with the iPad Pro. It's the software limitation of iPadOS.
I call it GarbageOS. And you are spot on. There is no point in having M chips in iPads if the OS sucks. It should switch to MacOS when a keyboard is attached.

05:32 The pencil opening a mini window is similar to Samsung’s SPen which had that feature for years now.
Disappointed tbf no new design like everyone was saying was gonna happen still 8gb of ram they removed the ultra wide camera screen js nice but for the price its defo a big no no they made it thinner which was odd considering all the problems with bend gate and no bigger battery’s but the main thing is the software what is the point of all that power when you have the same software that the 2018 models use still? Il keep my ipad pro m1 thanks apple
I’m still using an Air2 (my battery is finally dying I have to keep it plugged in al, the time now 😂 ) …and with the Canadian exchange, I really don’t need the Pro so I’ll update to another Air!
I never felt short of horsepower on my m1 pro,i did however feel restricted by the toy os. No need to upgrade.

get the previous 11" or 12.9" iPad Pro from 2021 or 22 can get them cheaper and have Face ID, pro motion and MiniLED only on the 12.9

iPad Pro's need a better OS/software, the hardware was great already.
I still have my iPad 2. I mostly use it for games and ebooks.

I was super pumped to see the improvements with this 2024 and bought the 13 inch with the folio, keyboard and pencil. Thrilled with this as I have been using my iPad Pro 12.9 2021 M1 as my computer since it came out. I don’t need all of this power but, I am always happy to be future proof for 3to 5 years.
I was disappointed to see that the mini was ignored this time around.
This year was iPhone 15 pro max, MacBook Air 15 m2, and the iPad Pro 13 inch. I just need the iPad mini and AirPods Pro max this year.
But what about backwards compatibility with my first gen 10.5” iPad Pro, lol.

In the Netherlands the 13 inch is €250 more then the 11 inch model.
Wanted to get one but feels a bit like a scam for just 2 inch more.
So m2 is minimum system requirement for any new non gpt apple only ai features going forward. Sounds like something Apple would do.

iPad Pro 13 inch 1TB Nano Textured Glass with keyboard and pencil is $4227 AUD. All of that just to run iOS. I wouldn’t get it for that price even if it ran macOS.

I don't think ANYBODY ever complained about M1 chip ipads not to mention M2 or M3 it is the software that's the culprit, they should let people run regular OSX just like windows surface does, ipda sales would go through the roof. Why do you need M4 for something that runs perfectly fine on M1. That pencil update is ridiculous, what's next Apple Pencil Pro Max?

iPad Pros are now too expensive. iPad Airs are missing FaceID and ProMotion. And there was no new iPad mini even though that iPad is ancient. -- I'll have to keep going with my iPad Pro from 2018.

Honestly screw them at this point, I spent over $1k 8 months ago on an 11 pro and the new pencil and keyboard don’t work with it? Still screwing around on storage and cellular pricing. Enough is enough, if android was even remotely as privacy conscious I would switch today. I already quit buying the computers, but the phones and ipads are far superior to any of the bloated android garbage
