@@jjlax7liberty is MCLA, NCLL is (mostly) schools that have varsity teams, so it’s more so True club while MCLA is treated like varsity for some programs
@@squidward_haz_a_gun6010 well said. It would show kids another option if they want to continue playing lax in college, but don’t want to commit all of their time to it.

Playing JUCO Lacrosse in the NJCAA was one of the best experiences I had playing. We'd get a couple hundred in cash as a stipend for out-of-state away games where we had to stay in a hotel overnight and enough free gear even though it wasn't a lot. Gamedays ranged from pretty good facilities and locker rooms depending on the team's campus to the Redskinss old abandoned practice facility or a random field in a park for in-season tournaments

JUCO lacrosse is the most upper class burnout thing I’ve ever heard of. We’re about a generation away from millennial parents banning lower classes of people from D1 so their kids don’t have to live like average people even in sports

There’s a major geographical reason why. Plus, they’ve been around since the 60’s. Harford, for example, started in ‘93.

@@hoodiemirr9348 A 30 yr program head start helps. Not to mention there’s hardly any legit JUCO competition anywhere geographically close to Nassau. Also, 7M people just on Long Island alone and only about 4M in the entire state of MD. HCC also has Essex right down the road, plus AACC, Howard, etc not far away at all.
