    Great video. Why is this information so hard to find? It seems like basic stuff that everyone should know who is setting foot in a utility room.

    How calculate the MCCB currernt if 400A breaker its is the sum of three phases or each phase can connect to 80% of 400 A?

    • @themeengineers1671
      @themeengineers1671  Před 2 lety

      Every phase is rated at 400amps my friend. Overcurrent at any phase will trigger a trip. Using an trip unit you will be able to better check which is the errant phase.

    Sir I have ha MCCB (Main breaker in MDB) rated as below:
    MCCB NSx400S
    400AT 3P
    415V AC schneider
    now my system voltage level is 127V/220V.Can i use the above MCCB.
    THANKS

      Hi do check out the rated voltage. It'll affect the max ssc the breaker can handle. It should be no problem

    Hello can i check if all mccb comes with a electronic trip unit?

    • @themeengineers1671
      @themeengineers1671  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello, there are different trip unit available. Some are thermal magnetic and not electronic. So the answer is no. So depending on your site requirement you may choose different trip units.

      It is for utilization A breakers and lv switchgears. Usually it is the maximum short circuit withstand current rated up to a certain time. Usually 1 second or 3 seconds. Examples are 85kA 1 seconds, or 50kA 3seconds. Mucha gracias pal.

    Is it possible to disable the mccb breaker (to stay always on) easily?

    • @themeengineers1671
      @themeengineers1671  Před 2 lety +1

      Depending on the model, you might be able to off the protection with electronic trip units. In your case i would suggest using a switch disconnector. Much cheaper and always at the status u left it. However there will not be any protection
