Girl, you have changed the scrunchie game for me. I was able to use some of your tips and it made it soooo much easier. Especially the tube flipper. I just took an old wooden flag pole and put it between my legs and it works great. Thank you thank you thank you

I’ve never had a problem sewing the elastic without glue. I don’t even pin it. I also use a bodkin, it’s fast. I will try the thicker elastic next time. I also use a zig zag stitch on the elastic, because elastic stretches a straight stitch will pop under pressure.

So Canadian here, I love your videos, I watch them while I work (just started a mask/scrunchies and stuff business last year ❤). For your pulling the elastic through issue, I found another scrunchie maker here who recommended a bodkin by clover that's called a clip and glide, it's green. Best thing I have ever bought for my business , but a little harder to find. I found mine at a local small sewing shop. Hope this helps, keep up the amazing videos, super inspiring 😊❤ ~Thalli&Co (Haley)

These are wonderful tips Taylah! These are wonderful tips for sewing in general, regardless of whether a person is a hobbyist, or creating sewn pieces for sale.
I do sewing for enjoyment, to make alterations on thrifted clothes, and to do repairs for my loved ones as well as myself. I've been pre-winding my bobbins ahead of time for a few years now, and I can attest this is a huge game changer! I always have several bobbins of my most frequently used colors in a little tray, and will pre-wind a few in specific colors needed for a project before starting it.
I really enjoyed watching this, I learned a few new ideas, and I admire your work and your skills. Thanks again!

Nice video. You can try this for inserting elastic into the tubes - put a rubber band around the top of the stick and hold the cut piece of elastic there hanging down. Next, just slide the tube down the stick and elastc while making sure it doesn't go beyond the bottom end of the elastic. Then just pull the top portion of the elastic down and away from the rubber band and stick.
