Girl, you have changed the scrunchie game for me. I was able to use some of your tips and it made it soooo much easier. Especially the tube flipper. I just took an old wooden flag pole and put it between my legs and it works great. Thank you thank you thank you
Second it!! I'm deaf, so I'd items title.
If Disney ever wanted to make a tangled movie, please apply. Legit you look like rapunzel 😄 thanks for sharing your process 👍
Thank you so much!
So you have now taught an old dog new tricks! Thank you for helping me speed up this process. I have so many sewing projects waiting, so maybe I can get to them sooner now. Bless you, young lady! You are a manufacturing engineer at heart. You sure just made my sewing world happier. Thank you!
Thank you for this. I've seen so many videos and honestly I couldn't figure out how they were putting the scrunchie together lol this way is much more simpler ❤️
I’ve never had a problem sewing the elastic without glue. I don’t even pin it. I also use a bodkin, it’s fast. I will try the thicker elastic next time. I also use a zig zag stitch on the elastic, because elastic stretches a straight stitch will pop under pressure.
Try Light grey thread, it is a neutral colour perhaps better than white. 🇨🇦
or invisible stretch fabric
True. I learned that years ago when hand quilting a very colourful quilt. I entered it in an art show that my hubby’s work sponsored & it blew me away that I won best of show.
Oh my goodness, thank you for sharing- that's a wonderful idea! 😍🇨🇦
I recall using some light grey thread on denim (I do experiments on denim for fun and enjoyment) and it looked absolutely wonderful! I forgot about that, but will certainly start using grey some more in the future!
Instead of fabric glue I normally hand sew but I never tried fabric glue! And the ends all together is a life saver!
Omg, i wished i watched this video earlier. I volunteered to make scrunchies for my church fair and I took a lot of time in cutting, sewing and turning inside out.
With your video it's so fast. Im going to try this.
Thank you very much.
Love the way you explain things as it’s straightforward and I totally get what you say, love your tips, thanks for this awesome video
Thank you! Definitely going to take away the only black or white thread, this sounds like it will save so much time!! Thank you for explaining everything so well! Off to learn more about your scrunchie stick! xxx
I watched an insta reel of scrunchie being made and thought to myself I wonder how they're from start to finish. Searched how... clicked this video and its the same girl from the reel. Looks really fun!
So Canadian here, I love your videos, I watch them while I work (just started a mask/scrunchies and stuff business last year ❤). For your pulling the elastic through issue, I found another scrunchie maker here who recommended a bodkin by clover that's called a clip and glide, it's green. Best thing I have ever bought for my business , but a little harder to find. I found mine at a local small sewing shop. Hope this helps, keep up the amazing videos, super inspiring 😊❤ ~Thalli&Co (Haley)
Thanks so much Haley! I’ll have to check it out I appreciate the tip 😁 goodluck with your small business
Supremely efficient, wow so inspired to make scrunchies in bulk!! thank you.

You are a inspiration to all ages! ♥️
Thank you Mina 🥰💞
I'm not planning on starting a business, but now I know what to do with some left over fabric lol. Thank you so much!
These are wonderful tips Taylah! These are wonderful tips for sewing in general, regardless of whether a person is a hobbyist, or creating sewn pieces for sale.
I do sewing for enjoyment, to make alterations on thrifted clothes, and to do repairs for my loved ones as well as myself. I've been pre-winding my bobbins ahead of time for a few years now, and I can attest this is a huge game changer! I always have several bobbins of my most frequently used colors in a little tray, and will pre-wind a few in specific colors needed for a project before starting it.
I really enjoyed watching this, I learned a few new ideas, and I admire your work and your skills. Thanks again!
Fawn 😊
Love watching your videos! I plan to teach my almost 7 year old how to sew with making scrunchies! You are awesome at what you do! Keep it up! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much Mary!! 😁💞
My Granddaughters will love these thank you 😊
Thank you for this wonderful tip. I've been using the burrito method for sewing my scrunchies for a while now and it is pretty time consuming HAHA 😂 I will try your method hope it would work for me. Lots of love from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Thank you! Wonderful tips!!
Wow. You make it look so easy!!
Thank you for sharing. Love your system in making many scrunchies fast.
Clever of you, thanks for sharing!
Helpful bulk-sewing tips thank you so much :)
This was a great video, thank you so much!
Theres a great little machine called a Side Winder. Its not very bog and ots sole purpose is bobbin winding. Its super fast and you dont have to undo your sewing machine to make new bobbins It can also run on the side while youre sewing if you want to refill as you run out.
Thanks so much for sharing your process!
Thankyou for you tutorial. I’m teaching a class of kids who have asked to make scrunchies. ❤
Nice video. You can try this for inserting elastic into the tubes - put a rubber band around the top of the stick and hold the cut piece of elastic there hanging down. Next, just slide the tube down the stick and elastc while making sure it doesn't go beyond the bottom end of the elastic. Then just pull the top portion of the elastic down and away from the rubber band and stick.
I was thinking the same, I wonder why she didnt use the stick
Thanks for the tips and tricks 👍💖
Thank you for watching!
This was great thanks for the tips! You make it look super easy... wish me luck lol

If you want, you can use an expo marker and put the elastic on the top, close the cap on the elastic, and the marker, then you can thread it.
It makes it much easier.

What kind of glue do you use?. Having trouble finding a quick drying one.
Granddaughter and I love your videos. She has learned so much from you.
Thank you
Thanks for these tips. This surely will save me alot of time. Where do you get your elastic?
Im inspired.new sub ....hello from Jamaica🇯🇲
i had an idea for threading elastic! you could attach a small alligator clip or something to the tip of the flippy stick. Clip the elastic and slip the tube over it, maybe while holding the bottom of the elastic. i loathe poking my fingers with safety pins haha. Great video tho (:
absolutely lovely & gorgeous
thank you!
Gracias voy a comenzar reciclando muchos retazos. BN tengo bastante elástico , y compré una mini Maquina estoy feliz
Excellent
Good do you make the labels? That's what I've always wondered. Thanks for the video, great techniques!! 👍❤️
7 years!? Well wow thank God for the new found hope I found from that sentence
are scrunchies still that popular?
Thanks for sharing
Thank you
really helpful
You should try using a Bodkin for pulling the elastic through the tubes.
Thank you Tonia! They look very nifty I’ll have to try source one 😁
@@TaylahRose I was just about to comment the same thing! LIFE SAVER!!!!!!
I use a pen, and I just drop it down with the fabric on it , homemade bodkin 😅
Your videos are so helpful. If I may ask, what size (length/width) do you cut your elastic. Also, is there an advantage of using wide elastic compared to say a 1/4 inch wide elastic? TFS!
She posted 21 cm on another comment.
Can we make a scrunchy with not many things
Thank you for teaching us to make a scrunchy your videos are so helpful and maybe we can subscribe to it and like you

Been following and watching your videos. I so love it. Im a newbie on making scrunchies. Your videos are really awesome. You always makes my day🎀😍
From Philippines with love❤
Thank you so much! 💞😁
Nice 👍🏽
Very nice
For threading elastic I use a chopstick with a safety pin tied to the end. Very quick and easy.
Hey Taylah, have you thought of using an industrial machine? I bought a second hand Juki for $1000 at a place in Clayton. It is a workhorse and would save you loads of time. It also has auto reverse and auto cutting
Possibly when i move into my 'forever' studio the one im in now is a bit small!
Which model do you have? Thanks
@@MM-gf5vm I cant remember sorry :)
I from Indonesia, and i like your konten. 🥰
deffs enjoyed watching this video. quick question do you pre wash your fabric before making scrunchies or do you just cut and sew with what you have?
Loved the video! Thks it helped a lot. A quick question: at the end when you close it all, do you sew the elastic in the middle or on the side?
In the middle 😄
Could you tell me how long you make the elastic? Your videos have been very helpful!!!
i don't make scrunchies, i make masks, but ur idea of sewing then cutting has given me an idea for my panel pasks.
Hi can you please share where in Australia to buy the bulk elastic thank you 💕
