ASMR is essentially a made up acronym (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response ) used to describe that tingly / buzzing feeling you may have experienced in your head or running down your spine. The sensation can be triggered by personal attention, tutorials, sounds etc. If you are discovering "ASMR" videos for the first time, their primary purpose is just to relax and almost always to send the listener to sleep.

Matt, I've been with you for a while, but I don't think I've ever told you I love your work. In case I haven't, I'll say it now.

Nathan, brother!!! I have a horrid, horrid confession to make hahah. I literally cannot believe it, but i've somehow missed your questions and 1 other very dear friend during my Q/A video. I am soooo so sorry, I did consider re-shooting the entire thing but I didn't realise until after I had rendered and because it's such an enormous video (1.5hrs) with layered sounds, it took 23 hours to render!
As a side note though, thank you always for your endless support. It's because of you and folks like yourself, watching all of my videos, in their entirety, liking them and commenting on them with such meaningful and thoughtful comments that my channel seems to be going crazy!

Not to mention you have such a calming presence and your voice, even when not whispering, is just perfect. Dear Matt, I just wanted to thank you for making videos. I rarely comment but I have watched since your videos since your first psychiatrist video and it has been a great help to me with my anxiety. As someone in the health care field, its often hard to listen to any type of healthcare roleplay either hollistic or CNE simply cause I catch myself listening for mistakes. So I just happened upon your channel when your hotel video appeared in my recommended videos. im the kind of person that prefers the voice over any other real sounds such as tinkering to trigger my asmr. Your voice in that video had me hooked.
So I watched another and then another and then another and all I could think was "how many jobs has this guy had before"
I would swear that every roleplay you did you were actually in that field. You just seem SO knowledgeable in EVERY SINGLE THING you are role playing as. Only other ASMRTist that I have felt that way about is Ephemeral Rift.

The finger tracing with your pen as you explained face mapping 😴, that was so relaxing I dunno why I almost passed out especially when you counted as well. I think this will be my go to when I need to fall asleep after a really rough day. Oh btw! Tingles towards the last quarter of the video when you began to come up close with personal attention while mapping.. I was like, "Mattt stahhhppp I cannot handle it, ahhhh," 😆. Hey, Matt! I've heard of the face-mapping term, but didn't know it was a Chinese medicine thing. I may investigate this further, because I'm particularly prone to sinus issues (allergies, headaches, etc), and since I do believe everything is connected, it would be very interesting to know more.
Between the whispering (you have one of the most perfect voices for this, IMO!) and the very relaxing background, this instantly went into one of my favorites lists :) Awesome video!
