Ms. Soho, your question "why the CA didn't cite that big business was involved in the non-conformation of Ms. Lopez was not sound. Of course they would not!!! That would be both self-implicating and self-incriminating! And you still asked for the sort of proof of Ms. Lopez sort of conclusion that the decision was based on personal mining interests? That question, too, was not sound. It was a
realistic assumption and a logical premise that those who voted no naturally must have gotten big kickbacks from mining, therefore were not for environmental and social reforms. They could have chosen the high road and cast their votes based on high principles equated to environmental protection and social justice. My opinion is that government service is kind of commensurate to " get rich scheme" for some politicians. Ms. Lopez's sterling qualifications both in her character and caliber should have been the basis for her confirmation and not deep pockets as well as political partisan paranoia.
